Yeah, they’re quite similar, on one I can play online for free, get tons of indies and demos, play with any controller I want, as well as have access to a bunch of non-gaming features, and on the other… I have to buy giftcards to use the online store because despite the fact that the console is sold here there’s no option to register psn in the country, which means it won’t take my card
Taking an extreme example instead of one that is the norm makes it extremely obvious you don’t know what you’re talking about. Go back to your walled playpen and leave the rest of us to our freedom.
I honestly can see some of this guys point here and I do think the gap between PC gaming and consoles narrowing down since the past few console generations consoles aren’t pushing graphics over the latest PCs and console exclusive coming to PCs.
With the steam deck, I think that gap has narrowed more now since it provides a easy and accessible price point to PC game on your TV, which may eat into the console market share.
Somewhat disagree. Sure there’s stuff that won’t run on Linux but runs on Mac or win…but the list is getting shorter all the time. And then there’s the wonderful world of emulation, you can add a plethora of walled gardens to your garden with a knee high wall and lots of gates.
As someone currently playing tears of the kingdom at 4k/60fps on my couch with an Xbox elite controller complete with a mod to adjust in game promts to show xbox button:
Woof woof motherfucker

Any time an exec talks, it’s to get a market reaction.
You’re best off never listening to what any of them say.

Almost unnoticeable :3 /s
One costs £400 for the whole console, the other costs £800 just for one component.

Just because you can spend £800 on a part doesn’t mean you have to… I just want to.
Not to mention the PC won’t be a brick when they inevitably shut down servers someday
Or ban your hardware because you wanted full control of your own hardware.
PC: keyboard & mouse, faster load times, bigger games library, MODS

Ha. hahahaha. HAHAHAHA. haaaa.

In what way is PC a walled garden? The only limitations are based on technical capabilities rather than arbitrary walls.

How so?
Also called Denuvo.
How does that make PC a walled garden?

So the fact that I can’t choose between mouse and keyboard or controller or change the FOV in the settings makes me a dog I guess.
And pay extra to be able to use the fucking internet on the machine.
Delusion isn’t a good look!
