I think I am going to try Dave the Diver and/or Songs of Conquest.

Even though I have been gaming since Pong (my first game console), I have never played any Elder Scrolls games. This trailer’s voice over is new to me, and it is so strange and nostalgic to hear Patrick Stewart’s young and vibrant voice on the trailer for a game released this morning.

I “own” it in Multiple platforms already. I might actually own it now.

Make sweaty/stinky LAN parties a thing again! – Me, a former UT99 sweatlord.

Cool, but I am more excited about the French maintaining a fusion reaction for over twenty minutes.

This is the industry I worry about most when it comes to tariffs.

I have been playing Galaga regularly since 1981. Still play it at least once a week.

OK, but it isn’t available on GOG until March 28th and I never buy games on release.

I think I’ll patient gamer this one until it is on sale at GOG.

If this defense is accepted by the courts it will make downloading pirated content legal for everyone.

Taking the loss on GameStop is something you can take as a tax write-off for years (depending on the size of loss).

No Disco Elysium?

I know it flopped but Titan Fall 2 is more worthy than others in that list. Also it is missing really old and influential games from the Atari 2600, 16 bit, and early PC era.

In all, it is a list put together by somebody young, that really loves Nintendo, l and with limited video game history knowledge, IMHO.

Which poison do I pick first, Dwarf Fortress or Caves of Qud?

I have been working in tech since 1995. The one constant in the industry is that everyone is stealing everything all the time.

Destiny historically vasscilated between “fucking amazing” and “dumpster fire”. The problem has always been that it is near impossible to maintain that level of quality and entertainment consistently while also innovating on a regular basis. It is very difficult and very expensive.

Browser is capped at 1080p and the experience is mediocre at best (and laggy) when compared to the native app. I run at 1440p and it is smooth as butter with no noticeable lag.

Geforce Now is literally the only Windows app I’ve got left. A Linux app would be the nail in the coffin for Windows in my environment.

I haven’t played DF in more years than I care to admit. Can anyone explain what adventure mode is?

If my that you mean basically tech illiterate and the type of people that asked me to program their VCRs and whose oven always blinks 12:00, then yes. The only reason I do not set them up on Chromebooks is because the hardware sucks.

I am not a Linux elitist. I have run Linux almost from the start (1996), but I also run Windows and Mac. I believe in the motto of “use the best tool for the job” and right now I genuinely believe that Linux distros with cohesive desktop environments are the best choice for the majority of users. Not everyone, but certainly the vast majority of home users that would be affected by the end of Win 10 support.

LOL. Linux is what I install for elderly family members precisely because, depending on the distro, it is moron proof. Not every distro is Arch or SuSE.

Troy Baker got Travis Willingham to pass on the gig and then ended up taking the gig himself. 😂

I play tons of games on Linux. I was mainly referring to AAA online multiplayer games with anti-cheat like COD, Valorant, Apex Legends, etc.

As a result, some consumers resorted to purchasing TPM modules for their existing hardware, while others turned to customized Windows 11 ISOs that bypassed the TPM requirement entirely.

Who is doing this?!? If you are a business user, your company should pay for a new PC. If you are a gamer, you have a year to upgrade your MB. Everyone else has a year to figure out if Linux is right for them. At this point, Linux can perfectly cover most non-business users or those who are not multiplayer online gamers.

If the solo mode is solid, I might go out and buy Wyrmspan from my local games shop.

I mostly play BG3 now but I was hard into Destiny 2. As long as I capped my FPS to match my monitor (so 120), I could crank it up to pretty much max. BG3 and Last Epoch I max out (still fps capped). Cyberpunk 2077 I didn’t bother with and play it on GeForce Now. Most other games I play are AA or indie and the 1080ti at 1440p handles them easily.

Space Marine II is another that’s going on GeForce Now just because I want it on Ultra everything. So literally 95%+ of my library runs maxed at 1440p/120 on a 1080ti.

I game at 1440p on a 1080ti. So what this tells me is that I don’t need to upgrade. Cool.

Because I bought it blind (no expectations), I actually enjoyed the game at launch. It was very chill.

Damn! I literally just bought an solo ttrpg fifteen minutes ago.

I guess I’ll hold off on further purchases until the 29th.

Everything I know about Larian tells me that they did not try very hard to hide it. They had to for liability and contractual obligations, I am sure, but they didn't try very hard to hide it.

How do I extract my wallpaper?
I have a Pixel 6 Pro (fully stock) who's wallpaper was migrated from an old S series Samsung. The wallpaper is a photo I took many years ago that I can't seem to find, so the wallpaper is the last remaining copy that I have. Where can I find the photo and/or how can I extract it so that I cam back it up?
