When you have invested thousands (in both hours and $) into the game, you gotta show them trolls who’s the boss by leaking military documents.
I imagine the player who started the trend by leaking the Challenger II armour profile is probably in prison, by now, or at least out of a job.
I think people are now leaking the documents for the sake of it.
I bet by now spy agencies actually use that to convince officers to leak these documents.
