Best full-price video game deal in history, in my opinion, was NFL 2K5 selling for $19.99 at launch. I still consider it the best football game ever and I miss it dearly.
It was such a good deal that EA shit themselves, bought the exclusive NFL license, and ruined football gaming for future generations.
Another vote for Disco Elysium. For an old-school classic dripping in atmosphere, check out the 1997 Blade Runner PC game.
Generally, you use Script Hook: http://www.dev-c.com/rdr2/scripthookrdr2/
It just goes in your game folder, as I recall. I did have some luck doing it on a pirated copy, too, which is nice because Rockstar are assholes about breaking mod functionality with updates semi-regularly.
I’ve never heard or seen anybody else mention Suzerain. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure political strategy game, which is pretty unique. You are the new leader of a fictional nation wrestling with corruption. Your decisions will affect the outcome. Game is only $6 on Steam right now and is well worth it.
Also worth mentioning Ostriv, a beautiful city-builder in which you build an 18th Century Ukrainian village, complete with individual little villagers wearing their villager clothes. It’s lovely and made by ONE GUY, as best I can tell? Also, last I saw, the entire game was somehow under 1 GB, if I remember correctly. It’s absurd.
It’s kind of you to ask. I never get to show them off. Here are some so-so photos in an album. I ordered custom bands for each–that was my “customization/personalization.” All less than $100 (probably with bands included, even). I like how they’ve turned out, so far:
The first one is a Sputnik watch (the letters on the gold center part spell Sputnik in Cyrillic and the little Sputnik spins), the second is a Raketa Moonphase (they have tons of cool color options throughout the years). The third is from 1975, commemorating the Apollo-Soyuz-19 collaborative mission or “space handshake.” The fourth is not space-themed, but is, I believe supposed to be based on a Soviet tank operator’s watch(?), but I’m not totally sure on it, as it’s listed elsewhere as a Gagarin pilot’s watch. It’s an old Soviet one, not one of the reissues they’ve started offering Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the movements, but they’re really cool, some have visible rubies and whatnot.
Oh man, a Total War: Lord of the Rings could be pretty badass.
