I am a pc gamer and I have the latest-ish video card. I got an expensive card so that I can play any game, but really don’t consider graphics much anymore. You are correct, some people still chase that aspect of video gaming. I think if you have been around for a while, that desire fades. I have lots of low res games these days.

It’s okay though because they didn’t make this decision lightly.🙄

Good catch. Corporate speak revolves around saying shitty things but spinning them in a positive way.

Nothing but corporate doublespeak that clearly translates to “we do anything for money, including ruining lives and destroying art.”

I’m not even sure what games they make these days, but thoughtful is one thing these greedy corporate fucks are not.

I bought a rtx4070 ti super recently because of superior raytracing and AI. If you don’t care about those things just go by price/performance. Tom’s Hardware has a benchmark of all cards on the same chart.

Yep, I’m still rocking a 1080ti. It still plays games fine. I’m just now starting to look at new cards, but they’re ridiculously expensive. Is NVIDIA trying to kill pc gaming?

Good, hope gamers get burned by this. It’s easy to avoid buying shit games.

The people who buy it are enabling this kind of behavior of releasing “not ready” games and should be scorned. They are part of the problem, not that they can’t criticize the game.

I didn’t know Netflix has games…because I canceled a long time ago when they went to shit and raised prices.

Not sure what exactly, but lemmy.ml censors certain words. I bypass their filter with clever misspellings.😎

Two shitty companies shitting together to bring us a new kind of shit, which is the same as the old shit in 3d or something. Fvck Walmart and unity.

Wait for a sale or buy used, maybe? I can’t really help you, I only play pc games.

Steam has taught me that I don’t have to pay that much. Just a little patience.

I’d like to skip them all together. They are often gimmicky and tiresome.

You are the problem if you buy broken games. It’s incredibly easy to avoid.

I have a titanium flashlight and it sucks for heat dissipation. It overheats very quickly. I would bet it has something to do with it.

Eh, Bethesda has always been incompetent at making games. Always full of promise, but so clunky and amateurish all the way back to Arena.
