Heaven forbid someone play your abandonware you’re not even selling.
Uhhh, did this get nuked A DAY after it was announced??

We’ve got Concord resurrection before GTA 6…
EDIT: Aaaaand it’s gone.
I have absolutely no interest in playing this, but fuck Sony. If you’re killing your own game after one week, you could at least let people have fun with it.
Sony are a bunch of fucking dumbasses.
I didn’t expect there was “a dedicated group of fans” of Concord with that much motivation…
But, good for them.
This was my exact reaction when Ubisoft shut down the servers for The Crew, and people actually reimplemented the game server to bring it back. Of all thr racing games in the world, I had no idea anyone played more than 30 minutes of The Crew.
people power saved the crew and proved devs wrong again.
Everyone:
But why?
Game preservation. The fact that Sony is scrambling to DMCA videos of this preservation effort is proof that it is not just a forgettable turd, it’s a historical landmark.
Much like ET for the Atari 2600, Concord is and will remain a case study for the downfall of the big game studios in the 2020s.
Even though I thought the game was stupid, I am happy this is happening. Not only is it good for consumers to be able to access what they pay for, but also it makes the stain of this game sting Sony more, and I think that’s worth having to see this game at all.
EDIT: Apparently the purpose was to just get taken down in a day. Sad.
If there’s a game there’s always someone out there willing to preserve it.
TIL.
I mean I’m willing to try it out of curiosity
