So that’s why KCD2 was stuttering before the update. I was getting so mad having to restart my console.

Kingdome Come 2 has great voice acting too. Some really funny characters (Adder is my favorite crazy Pollack) . They suffer from a lack of voice actors though so some characters have the same actor.

I’m actually not certain if it’s Mansa Musa or another Musa of Mali. In the game this Musa is an itinerant physician in Sigismund’s employ. I’m not sure if Musa did that irl. Musa is just the islamic form of Moses so it’s a fairly common name.

I never played the first one but i’m a fan of challenging games. From what i’ve read after getting my ass beaten by single random bandits, the combat is better and more fluid than the first game. Fewer locked in animations is what i gather is the biggest change.

The one thing you really have to get in your brain is do not spam attacks. You will die. Your stamina is like armor in that the lower your stamina the more it hurts to be hit.

Like i said, once it clicks it’s great but boy oh boy was it frustrating to learn.

It’s really good. Incredibly frustrating and challenging combat but good once it clicks. The rest of the RPG elements are amazing. Except lockpicking. Fuck that nonsense.

I never played the first one. I just watched a story recap.

The gameplay isn’t janky just brutally difficult and unforgiving. It goes for realism above all. I’m really liking it but I’m only maybe halfway through the story.

I’ve been playing so much kingdom come deliverance 2 that I didn’t even notice PSN being down.

If you like RPGs try it.

Have you played Cyberpunk? I think you’d like it. It’s in a really great place now.

Yeah, it’s to keep people from tilting and quitting the game. The bots are easy so if you give someone an easy win after two losses they are more likely to keep playing which raises engagement.

I don’t fuck with that type of business model.

I played for a bit. Then i read an article about them putting you in bot matches if you lose two consecutive matches. Then i tested if it was true and once i confirmed it was i stopped playing.

I don’t mind playing against bots to learn the game if that fact is stated. I do mind being lied to about a game in which i think i’m playing against humans when in reality i’m playing against bots just to keep engagement up.

This isn’t true. I’ve been put against Diamonds and GMs and I’m gold 3. You can look at people’s rank in the history tab even for enemy teams.

Withers having big naturals isn’t even in the top 5 weirdest things about BG3.

But it’s 100% on brand for those rascals at Larian.

It’s really fucked up when you think about it since qp matches are any skill against any skill. So if you get a diamond ranked dps on the opposite team and your team is mostly bronze you’re screwed. Then you only have to lose one more match to get put into the bot matches. That seems super unfair.

It’s a problem if you think you’re learning techniques for killing humans but in reality you’re learning tricks to kill AI. There is already a bot match option if people want to learn with no pressure.

Some really excellent changes.

Best one is reducing Jeff’s ult to not snatch so many airborne heroes. I can’t tell you how many times i try to bounce out of it with Squirrel girl and i just get swallowed instead.

Hell just make her slightly thick and still attractive and they’ll lose their minds. I nominate Rebel Wilson but i think she lost a bunch of weight.

Black Myth Wukong is just a corridor and that game is great.

I swear devs come up with the weirdest shit. A good game is a good game. Doesn’t matter if it takes place on a full planet or in a single room.

the looming threat that Sony patches in more dependence on a PSN login to give me pause.

Ah, yeah that could be a bummer. I play on PS5 so they already got me.

which makes me hesitant to start Ghost of Tsushima.

I haven’t played the other games you mentioned but GoT is a masterpiece. You should really give at least the first act a try to see if you like it. Pretty much everyone I’ve had try the intro has been hooked.

Not really. I’d say it’s gotten more mainstream in the last decade but most people will still look at you funny if you tell them you game most nights instead of veg out in front of the tv. Doubly so if it’s a “nerdy game” like rpgs.

I envy you. I’ve got 1400 hours in Bg3. I love the game but i wish i could forget it to play it fresh again.

I only have one complaint with him. His main attack should travel farther. He’s firing metal at people, why does the metal disappear after 20 meters. They should let the projectile continue but have damage fall off. As of now i miss so many ko’s because they can out range my non-mobile magneto.

Same wombo combo as Zenyatta. I used to use that combo to wipe any squishies that thought zenyatta was “just a healer”.

Its really fun. Like how overwatch was when it launched. I’m loving magneto and squirrel girl and rocket raccoon. Those three are my jam.

PS1 intro screen. Mainly because my PS1 sucked since it was second hand and I had to restart it a lot.

My healer is Adam Warlock and self healing is very much a joke. If the cooldown was about a second shorter on the recharges it’d be fine but as of now i just play magneto or psylocke instead.

I’ve played those and BG3 has much more content. Especially missable content that depends on the choices you make.

Any soulslike. When the boss movements click in your brain it’s very much a flow state.

BG3 is a great example simply because there is so much content you can miss. I’ve put 1300+ hours into it and I still see things I haven’t seen in any prior playthrough. Granted they aren’t large story things or quests anymore but still, even the little stuff adds up.

Have you tried the Star Wars Jedi games? Fallen Order should run fine on your machine and possibly Survivor too but that might be a little much for your rig. \

They’re both wicked fun games that award exploration. I would call them souls-lite not soulslike since they are much easier than something like elden ring or sekiro (that doesn’t mean they are easy though).

Play Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s enormous. It’s difficult and the turn based combat is something you’ll have to get used to but it’s incredibly fun and deep.

I’ve put 1300 hours into the game because if you get bored you can just start a different character and try the story from their perspective. There are dozens of ways to complete every encounter.

THankfully they’ve improved a lot since launch and this is not the case with the game today. It’s very stable. I play with a bunch of mods and i don’t remember the last time it crashed.

Act 1 is a chore to get through on replay.

Good news is if you have the DLC you can skip the first act. The DLC start puts you in front of the Church in Pacifica after fighting Placide.

I like Cyberpunk a lot but replayability is shallow like you say. Sometimes I just boot it up to punch npcs though. Make a gorilla arms build and go ham. It’s pretty cathartic.

What’s everyone playing right now?
I just platinumed Jedi Survivor (which was awesome, you should play it) and I'm looking for my next new awesomeness to play.
