안녕하세요!
I’ve recently gotten back into (indie) game dev and made my multiplayer game with Stop Killing Games in mind. When you connect to the game, if the server is down, you get a one-click solution to run the server locally and play single player instead.
This setup actually helped me test the game too, since now I don’t need to run both the server and client when making (most) changes :)
Anecdotal but I’ve switch from Unity to Godot and am quite happy with it. The main things I was originally worried about (performance and feature support) haven’t shown up in any of my games (although I will caveat I make games for fun now, whereas I used to make them for profit).
Similarly, the Google Trends for Godot has been steadily increasing year over year, and decreasing for Unity. I much prefer to be in a rising tide ecosystem, rather than a falling one.

Ok so the two main points:
I think the first one is obvious: Meta is a US company. If you want to see the inverse, check out WeChat.
The second is a case is an extension of the first, where the US is saying “bad people doing the right thing is fine”.
Free RuneScape I shill 2009scape.org but there’s others. I know there’s free WoW, Maplestory, and pretty much every other popular MMO as well
I would say play whichever era you played in the past :P. If you played RuneScape classic, OpenRSC (the 2003 remake) is the best, otherwise 2009scape is a good shout. You could also check out 2004scape.org, their beta starts soon
Shout out to the open source Runescape remakes
https://rsc.vet/ - 2003 era remake
https://2009scape.org - 2009 era remake
https://darkan.org/ - 2012 era remake
There are other open source remakes (2004, 2006) but they’re not as popular. I’ve actually contributed upstream to all 3 of the above, it’s a very nice community!
Kids make maps. Stuff in the maps is sold for Roblox bucks. Roblox bucks cost money to buy. The kid who makes the map gets the Roblox bucks, and can sell them. The problem is you only get 30% back when you sell a Roblox buck.
So kids spend time making big maps and servers, buying ads, getting shoutouts on YouTube/whatever, and Roblox takes a 70% cut from all of it
The user experience of Monero is poor.
While it is true that getting your first credit card isn’t exactly a 10 second ordeal, people at least have their credit card. How are people going to acquire their first Monero?
