Some RuneScape private server called August lmao.

Also been playing some Battle for Middle Earth online with the fam: bfmeladder.com

the availability of different components requires specification changes, sometimes in real-time. In fact, customers may experience a free upgrade based on changing inventory levels.

They couldn’t help but try and make “getting randomized components” sound like a good thing

Ok so the two main points:

  • Bad people are who the US said are bad
  • Azov are Nazis

I think the first one is obvious: Meta is a US company. If you want to see the inverse, check out WeChat.

The second is a case is an extension of the first, where the US is saying “bad people doing the right thing is fine”.

People will mention Gimp, but check out Krita as an alternative to Adobe

Free RuneScape I shill 2009scape.org but there’s others. I know there’s free WoW, Maplestory, and pretty much every other popular MMO as well

Another reason to play open source remakes instead of the original

Good luck for them. Hopefully more big tech goes towards unions

Wartime means taxes from citizens. Private companies offer to help the government for said taxes to help fuel the war machine

I would say play whichever era you played in the past :P. If you played RuneScape classic, OpenRSC (the 2003 remake) is the best, otherwise 2009scape is a good shout. You could also check out 2004scape.org, their beta starts soon

Vidyascape is the best real 07 remake, but is it open source?

Historically, only for-profit ones have been shutdown

I used to be a game dev. Busy so can’t reply atm but Jagex and OSRS make a LOT of money compared to everyone else already. Their subscription stats are insane

Shout out to the open source Runescape remakes

https://rsc.vet/ - 2003 era remake

https://2009scape.org - 2009 era remake

https://darkan.org/ - 2012 era remake

There are other open source remakes (2004, 2006) but they’re not as popular. I’ve actually contributed upstream to all 3 of the above, it’s a very nice community!

Last time I applied, it took like 6 months for my beta app to be accepted. That’s fine but I had ran a marathon like the week before, and did all my marathon training during that time. Was big sad. Anyways best of luck with the next round!

Kids make maps. Stuff in the maps is sold for Roblox bucks. Roblox bucks cost money to buy. The kid who makes the map gets the Roblox bucks, and can sell them. The problem is you only get 30% back when you sell a Roblox buck.

So kids spend time making big maps and servers, buying ads, getting shoutouts on YouTube/whatever, and Roblox takes a 70% cut from all of it

I use it all the time. It can even click on images/etc for more dynamic botting

According to the article, the revenue is down 40%…But the costs are also way down? So this title is totally misleading, and a bunch of Lemmies are out here celebrating because they didn’t put 2 and 2 together.

I remember hearing about this on Reddit a few years ago. Congrats on your beta!! Will check it out 🙏

??? There’s nothing in this wording that implies anything more than “don’t negatively review us”

As someone who rehosts an old game after the official servers shutdown, we have a dedicated servers for cheating and real moderators for the non-cheat ones. It works great but big corps don’t way to pay for mods.

I also wonder why big companies don’t do it to train ML algorithms on the cheat server data too…

The fee introduction didn’t lead to the resignation of the Unity CEO. He was brought in to do the layoffs, make necessary buisness decisions, and leave with a golden parachute for being the scapegoat.

Source: Was Unity dev for 3 years, including during this fiasco

People downvoting you don’t seem to remember the whole “messages aren’t delivered while you’re not online” thing

I mean if you’re using something like Firebase on Android, the network calls get bundled with Google Play Services and you have no idea what that’s sending up

Feels like I saw the ads for this game just yesterday. I want to trust these proprietary services won’t disappear with my work, but I simply can’t. Some people say 10 years is a long time, but not me.

Valve has been nice to Linux users, but Sweeny has excellent points. What Apple does is ridiculous, and it’s disrespectful to see Valve give the big players better deals than the indie devs.

Epic contributing to Linux would be real nice, but they can’t seem to piece together where the vocal minority hold out is coming from.

Mastodon’s AGPL license will always be better though

Changes in build 882: Fixed 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller disconnection when using the 2.4GHz dongle Last edited by slouken; 23 Oct, 2023 @ 10:43pm

Looks like last update was Oct 23

They bought the game and changed out the graphics API to kill the Linux native builds, then after the community got it working via Wine, they added anticheat. Epic went further than incompetence on that one.

> [...] Parcelforce texted the delivery slot. No delivery. Parcelforce and HP’s tracking systems then claimed I had refused the parcel. I scheduled a redelivery for the next day. Parcelforce then rang me and the agent acknowledged a delivery had not been attempted and that the tracking information was false. It claimed HP had requested that the parcel be returned to sender.

Because our requirements come from a different business unit that has no understanding of their task, only a checklist of features that need to be implemented. “2FA” is one of those things, and we’re tasked to take the easiest route possible.

TL;dr Judge is letting the whole public trial happen in private, so the media is unable to report on key testimonies

Been using DroidCam for years, interviewers are always blown away by my setup and think I’m some sort of streamer

That’s why for the game I develop, players can request a copy of their save file and we have a singleplayer mode you can download and host yourself.

It’s not the most convenient thing, but players use it, and it’s future-proof!

For anyone on Linux, it also works via [Bottles](https://flathub.org/apps/com.usebottles.bottles) if you use wine-ge-proton!

2011scape's website: https://2011scape.com/ Source code: https://github.com/2011Scape There was a lot of hype around the project and it collected a lot of contributors in a short time from people who wanted to remake the game in that era. The project is expected to continue without her
