I agree.

Don’t try to push your idea of “all PC gamers must have played this” it’s cringe.

You have entire guilds in final fantasy xiv focused on this kind of thing.

It was fun to play. Early Access / beta access ended which is why everyone stopped playing it.

Looking forward to release

It’s not up to Pokemon to ban pack opening gambling any more than it is valve to ban item gambling.

It’s up to the us government to ban gambling.

I don’t think CSGO skin gambling is worse than draftkings or whatever else runs ads on American tv 24/7

Honestly, I use it. For my purposes it’s good enough and the reduced security is worth it for the availability it provides me.

I don’t use it for work and I use signal separately for secure transmission.

You can self host it, but it’s pretty difficult and not really available for most.

How could valve stop this without making items untradable?

Asking valve to police this is like asking the national Treasury to police gambling.

The fact that skins can be traded is a good thing. Just needs actual laws and enforcement.

Not allowing gambling on skins is such a knee jerk reaction to this. As you see there’s sites that do the same thing with irl items.

I would like to see the comparison to real sports more heavily highlighted. You cannot find a single sports event in America that’s not sponsored by gambling sites.

Show me one multiplayer fps that does not trust the client with anything.

In fine with forced stealth. As long as it’s because you will get absolutely fucked by the guards if you break stealth.

It feels bad when you know that you can just kill everyone easily

The future: Vr / motion controller gaming? Nah, revert to gameboy

Give me a small ipad sized handheld weighing less than my dick. That’s the future

It requires the server to verify all inputs. It’s doable, path of exile does that and most arpgs. But it leaves them very open to lag and desync issues, most games will prioritize a smooth experience.

Cod is peer to peer I think, clients host the server, very cheap for the company. But obviously you need to give the client a lot more information.

Played FFXIV since 2.0 but I fell of around the robe I got a kid.

My main gripe at that point was it was becoming a bit too formulaic, the Dungeons where always technically the same, with 2 X3 pulls, and 3 bosses

Same with the raids.

Same, I find the start especially jarring and hard to get going.

So dumb, just sell me the game, don’t nickel and dime parts of it.

Want better graphics? Oh that’s 20 bucks a month for Nvidia optimized drivers??

Totally, I was a bit disappointed that this wasn’t straight needed. I think if they make a MUCH bigger map (and I think they could do that with just open ocean, the ocean is big) and have that mobile base take a much larger role. That would be dope as hell.

Starting fresh also leaves you with nothing

Chances are, you start fresh, start copying/ adapting existing code. Leaving you with much the same issues as you were trying to get away from

As far as I heard the game was decent. Who knows, if they have a studio that is willing to take feedback and balance / update the game it could easily take a lot of overwatch.

It has a long way to go on reputation though

I find that doesn’t happen much in deadlock. The ability to comeback is quite strong

Particularity on mobile…

I mean I get that mobile gamers dont wanna play multiplayer. But is this representative outside of mobile too?
