Nice. Hopefully they don’t get paid off to look the other way. I am not hopeful.

Probably. Either way good luck heading up against their army of lawyers.

This is why I don’t buy or play games on release day. It’s never worth the aggravation.

Just wait a week ffs. Why do you all NEED it on release day? Yall are part of the problem.

If you’re still paying to play wow you’re the sucker.

Good and they made games just for these people. They are called single player games.

Call it whatever the fuck you want but this is like bitching that there is no fishing in counter strike.

MMOs are built specifically to be MULTIPLAYER and to be SOCIAL. Sitting there alone running dungeons solo is the exact opposite of what an MMO is.

People like you with that mentality is the exact reason games like WoW have turned into dumpster fires and I want nothing to do with you ruining my games.

Go play a single player game instead.

Good. Preordering games is the dumbest fucking concept. People need to stop doing this.

Enshitification is when a company’s quality decreases in favor of pocketing more money. It’s about greed and projecting the illusion you’re growing as a company. Shareholders like growth. This is exactly what intel is doing.

They cant pocket more money by selling their existing product for more money, as people won’t pay for it and profits will decrease.

They can’t pocket more money by selling a better product as that costs money in itself and won’t guarantee the return you’re looking for.

The only other play is to slim down your existing product and pray no one notices.

Intel chose the last option.

And it doesn’t necessarily have to be about pocketing extra money. Lots of companies took a big hit because of Covid and interest rates. Lots of companies that were profitable are now in the red because of interest rates. Supply chain issues also had a strong impact on company growth and profitability. So in desperate attempt to stay “profitable” some companies elect to decrease quality to save money as there is no other way to produce additional profit to keep going.

If you make your product worse over time and it’s at the expense of your customers, then you’re effectively enshitifying.

My next build is definitely going to be AMD. Getting sick of intel enshitification.

Huh. So you’re telling me a show based off a FPS game sucks? Totally shocked!

No one saw this coming! /s

There will ALWAYS be game devs that won’t support this shit. I’ll just continue to stick with developers that have a passion for making games instead of developers that sold them selves down the river for a couple of bucks.

Seems like people don’t think about it that way.

these things exist because consumers want them.

Exactly which is why I don’t have sympathy for these people. They accept it. They pay for it. In the end they encourage these publishers to push the limits due to lack of blow back.

If you don’t like something then stop supporting it. Otherwise you’re the problem.

Ya for the most part. They always design the game around squeezing you and pressuring you into buying shit.

None of the games I play have ads or MTX. Just pure unadulterated gaming.

Stop playing AAA games then. With or without ads they aren’t worth playing. This goes double for EA games.

If you’re still playing and paying for EA games then you deserve this.

Feel free. I stopped playing EA games and AAA titles years ago. You all enshitificated it enough as it is that I left awhile ago. Adding ads will only harden my resolve to never pick up another title.

Ya ArrowHead knew what they were doing and what was going on. They signed up for it. There’s no way this wasn’t on their risk matrix ahead of time with the resolution already scoped out.

Give people full refunds.

They put themselves in this position and now they are going to eat shit for it.

The only chance they have at not pissing everyone off is offering full refunds. It won’t happen tho because of corporate greed.

What they should have done was not jump into bed with the enemy (Sony).

Glad I never bought KSP2. It was on my list. Now it’s not.

Can’t wait for the hackers to come and rip the game apart. It will die just like Tarkov when that day comes.

Then they did it at every other fucking company because it was industry standard.

All you’ve listed are the big publishers. Of course THEY are going to do it. They are publicly traded company’s where they need to draw blood from a stone and pull out as much value as possible to appease their shareholders.

You’re absolutely wrong about every company doing this. It sounds like your only experience is AAA titles.

Play some indie games and you’ll see the difference. Significantly better designed games, built from passion, and without all the bullshit you see with AAA games.

Like I said find a better pool where people aren’t pissing in them. They exist.
