Stares at most PDX games having increasing player counts

How much of this is the lack of people wanting to play strategy games vs the lack of good strategy games

Can’t say they’d work 100% on this phone, but there are apps that allow you to switch your audio input/output that may help

Maybe it’s just a case of hindsight being 20/20, but it in some ways really feels like they were borderline asking to get sued.

I’ve been a bit burnt out lately, but fully agree with Squad. My most played steam game by a fair bit. Love the ICO so much.

Since I can almost guarantee you major publishers would not publish on steam without some sort of DRM, yeah Im fine with them having an easily crackable form of DRM. Especially since they’re not exactly jumping to prevent people from doing it.

I said not outright evil, not good.

Valve is what happens when someone who’s not just outright fucking evil invents a money printing machine

I vowed to never give them a dime after the $100 beta test that was Destiny 1 Year 1

Not to mention I’d wager a fairly large portion of city skylines 2 players are playing through game pass and wouldn’t be counted here anyway

“When the astronauts went to the moon, there was nothing there. They certainly weren’t bored."

Yeah I think that might be because they were on the moon and not pressing WASD to walk around a fake moon

Their marketing is just incredibly childish and brash. Doesn’t personally upset me, but it’s certainly never made me want to check out their products.

Yeah Bethesda doesn’t get the same amount of leeway that a small dev that was clearly way in over their heads gets

Headline really feels like it’s trying to imply unity is currently making a profit. They haven’t been out of the red in a while. Businesses tend to die when they’re bleeding money and there’s no VC.

Unfortunately there’s a whole slew of people who are going buy it no matter what. See the same shit with sports games. Doesn’t matter how much of a lazy, shitty, watered down mess it is, people are going to buy it.

The game servers themselves sometimes shit the bed, but overall it’s a good experience. Matchmaking takes 30-90 seconds usually, although it’s pretty much only attrition.

IIRC the only reason it’s called CS2 is because it’s on the Source 2 engine

Real glad to see Life is Strange. Still can’t listen to obstacles without crying and it’s been probably 7 years

The left never loved him. Neo-libs did, but they aren’t left

IMO it’s by far and away the best part of the game. Never gets old

And yet there are games with FTL that actually feel good to travel in, e.g. Elite Dangerous

Words can’t describe how happy I am that the official servers are back. One of if not the best FPS games in the last decade.

Titanfall 2’s campaign is one of the best examples of this. Not very long, but high quality and ridiculously fun

Ill see if I can find it when I’m at my PC, but in an interview a dev said it was still using significant amounts of code from their Gamebryo engine from 97

I’m starting to think that maybe, just maybe brute forcing a 26 yesr old engine that makes skyrim have a stroke if you try to play above 30fps isn’t a good idea

Sorry, you don’t see the issue of a paid battle pass in a game that already has a paid subscription model?

I played the shit out of Blacklight: Retribution back in the day, and saw the whole transition from zombie studios to buildblock to hardsuit labs. The devs were really active on various forums, and all seemed like great people.

I’ve been waiting so long for them to release something new, but this sort of game was a complete departure from anything they worked on (as the main dev) in the past. I’m not shocked that it didn’t worked out.

Wait I thought we all agreed HLA is HL3 in spirit

Wildly successful $15 game with basically no microtransactions. There’s a $20 supporter pack that has a couple skins, but it’s very clearly marked as “hey if you wanna toss the devs some extra cash, you can”

Hoping the success of games like BG3 and Battlebit opens the possibility of some return to sane monetization

Why are we giving these fuckers anything after they stole billions to lay fiber, and they just fucking didn’t.

Tends to happen when you abandon desktop usability in favor of mobile usability

Plus windows just kinda sucks to use with these sorts of devices

I’m excited for the future of the USNMT (and the USNWT of course, but they’re already the best in the world), they’re on a very good track

Looks like my rift s is still unaffected. Guess I’ll be holding onto it for another 4 years (who am I kidding, I was going to anyway)
