skate. from developer Full Circle and Electronic Arts (EA) is about to enter Early Access, and due to the anti-cheat there's no support for Linux / Steam Deck.

Cool. Not buying it then.

Don’t expect it to ever be supported either, not at least until the day Linux as a platform grows to a point where EA can’t ignore it by blocking it like they also do for Apex Legends, Battlefield and more.

I forgot why I stopped playing Apex Legends.

I was wondering why it won’t support Linux and the answer is anti cheat. Having played skate 1 and 3, I wondered why an anti cheat was needed. Apparently it’s an online game.

I have never played skate online before. Why would I want to play online over like just skating obstacles by myself? I’d rather have a skate able game in my pocket without multiplayer than multiplayer

Full circle, I have confirmed that I will not be supporting EA’s Skate

Fortunately, I don’t care. I haven’t bought an EA game since maybe 2010-ish and I have no plans to do so.

I boycotted back then and am happy to say I’ve stayed with it. Fuck EA.

How many “not buying it” comments will this post get before someone realizes it’s a free game?

I’ve been playing the Tony Hawk remastered to be fun as an alternative.

Can you finally post a gamingonlinux link without that guy’s superfan trying to conduct an entire exposé?
