I've already covered what I think are the must-have Steam Deck deals in the Steam Spring Sale 2025, but what if you're someone who specifically shops for games that have a Native Linux version available? Here's some recommendations for you.

Unpopular opinion but proton works better than native games in many cases. Tbf I don’t know about these titles in particular.

I would love it if devs would target proton / wine as a platform. Using familiar (to them probably) interfaces while optimizing for the use with proton, e.g. using Vulkan instead of DirectX.

I think that is actually happening with devs targeting the steam deck

Except Chrono Trigger. But that’s because it’s a Windows port of a Android port of the DS version. From steam reports, it’s stuttery with occasional crashes. Better run the original on a emulator.

I’ve played a few of these and can tell it’s a very good list.

Add text after your triple-backticks to fix the weird incorrect syntax highlighting (Or, ya know, use a proper bulleted list instead of a code/preformatted block.)

```text
Preformatted text without syntax highlighting
I played it on Android but what I didn’t like is that it is a rouge like?
I would have preferred it to be delivered in episode/level manner, I am not a fan of “starting over the same stuff”.
It’s RogueLite, but yeah. You do have persistent purchases etc… Better mechas.
Yeah, I’ve missed on a lot of good games just because I’m not interested in the roguelike aspect.
I think I paid 10 bucks for Slay the Spire in a previous sale and I had a blast with it for a solid month or so. Probably will revisit it too. It’s a steal for 5 bucks.
