Yeah, I’ve missed on a lot of good games just because I’m not interested in the roguelike aspect.

I don’t think I would care if they did use AI. I would care about the game being fun. There are lots of games out there that suck even though no AI was used.

I hope so! I’m interested in buying the single player game, and have absolutely zero interest in the online experience.

It was fun. I didn’t overthink it. It was just Halo, but more like what I thought it would’ve been like, back in the day, if we could’ve gotten an actual Halo.

If you think about it, the thing is huge, and would be massive & tedious to traverse. It never felt that way in the old game, where it was all linear sections connected by cutscenes.

Halo Infinite was closer to that.

Everything you mentioned wasn’t even a factor to me.

I liked the Halo Infinite campaign. I didn’t like the annoying Cortana replacement, but I enjoyed the campaign anyway.

Yeah, I got the cards wrong. They are around a 2080, which is around the same as a 4060. Still not much of an upgrade from an upper end 2000 series, which to me is 2070 and up.

The current Intel GPUs aren’t better than a RTX 2070, so that won’t be an upgrade if you’re on a higher tier 2000 series.

I just went up to a 4070 Ti from a 2080 Ti, because it was the only worthwhile upgrade. $660 used. So you don’t need to spend $800.

I’m still hearing from people that they’re using an Nvidia 1000 card. I was expecting to hear 2000 instead of 1000, and then it would happen.

At some point it was going to happen, this is just earlier than many thought. The real question is “when is AMD going to have an answer to Nvidia when it comes to RT performance?”

I just upgraded to a 4070 Ti, and I gotta say that coming from my old 2080 Ti, it’s not that much better looking.

I first played it on an AMD Vega64 Frontier Edition, ran gefm without RT at 1080.

I figured that for $5 I can deal with the Ubisoft stuff

I got, for $40.86:

Need for Speed Unbound, Far Cry 5, Halo Master Chief Collection, Memoriapolis

I would consider this game, but I’m not installing another launcher. I used to play Far Cry 3 & 4, but I haven’t touched them since the launcher became a part of it.

It kind of is. When people come into conflict, there’s 3 main outcomes: one side wins, both sides agree to disagree, or both sides disagree to disagree. The disagree to disagree option is what war is. Given enough people interacting with each other, war is an inevitable outcome of human nature.

I got Control for free, then I bought the DLC for it in there.

Just saying, I’d welcome some competition from other players in the industry. AI-boosted upscaling is a great use of the hardware, as long as it happens on your own hardware only.

What does AI enhanced hardware mean? Because I bought an Nvidia RTX card pretty much just for the AI enhanced DLSS, and I’d do it again.

Sure, but does the season content get added to the permanent league? As far as I know, it doesn’t, but I could be wrong.

They didn’t give me an extra. Just told me I already had a part of the bundle & would not be given an extra copy.

On USA Steam, the GOTY edition is $9.99, with all the DLC. The Season Pass, which is just the DLC, is like $12.49… So I bought the GOTY edition & threw away a copy of Fallout 4.

It’s the high-rank players that have ruined the game. No game is ever going to be about them, because there’s so few of them, and they know it. But they are little babies that must be attended, so they complain until they ruin a game, then call the game dead & move on to the next one, like a plague.

You know how cool it is that we can play games with friends that don’t have the same console? That may now happen with Microsoft games too. 🫤
