I thought so too after that first trailer, looked really rough. The combat looked absolutely terrible.
They released another trailer awhile ago that seemed drastically improved so I’m moderately interested in the game. I’m not on the edge of my seat and preordering or anything, but I’ll look into it when it releases.
It’s got quite a positive feedback from a couple of outlets that I trust and that had access to preview versions. It’s in Game Pass so I’ll definitely try it.
I mean, if you haven’t enjoyed Kotor 2, nwn2, New Vegas, stick of truth or pillars of eternity, yeah, there’s no point to avowed. If you enjoyed at least one of those games then you might enjoy this one too. That’s the point of games, see? They’re not for everyone.
Not anymore. So many games have dropped it. It happens every console generation, but support for last gen went on longer this time around, so new consoles got higher frame rates for longer.

What’s the point of Avowed anyways? It seems like just another unappealing dead-at-launch game.

Yeah, it looked pretty bad. Still did last time I checked.
Eh. Well, opinions.
If it’s single player, then it being “a dead game” (i.e. not selling enough by whatever standards) is completely beside the point.
What’s the point of any video game?

This game draws from South Park: Stick of Truth, Fallout: New Vegas, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2?
What is this?
Game: The Game?
It’s a game from a company with perhaps the most solid track record in the industry, and they made all of those games.
Isn’t 60fps completely standard for video games these days, even indie games? Come on, Obsidian, you’re better than this
On PC sure, on consoles devs are always trying to lower the bar.
