Some very well known stuff like Valheim but also dredge.

Dredge is great for casual playstyle if you like nice looking fishing/boating experiences in games. Think stardew Valley level of fishing. Something that just works and is very pleasant. The theme of Lovecraft is enticing but not overly profound.

Terraria, 20 minutes till dawn, Boneraiser Minions, Monster Train

Outer Wilds! Probably the best game I’ve ever played in my 10 years of gaming life. The game design is unbelievable, I’m thinking of the game in the shower, on the toilet seat, on my walks outside, everywhere I go - did I miss anything? What have I done in my last loop? It’s such a damn experience.

It’s just so good. Really such a fantastic game. It gives a very unique vibe, and the core gameplay loop is such an interesting idea!

I wish I could play this again for the first time. Probably top 10 for me.

That game is such a feat. I went in blind, and at first I was not really impressed, but then of course you get to the main gameplay loop, and everything just clicks. It doesn’t hurt that the game feels really good to play, too.

Tried and gave up on Tears of the Kingdom, so more recently I’ve been playing Gran Truismo 7 and Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ve been enjoying the time trials in GT7, and though I still wish there was a proper campaign mode instead of the just the menus I can’t say that I haven’t enjoyed all 120+ hours I’ve put into it so far.

As for GOTG, I tried it on PC last year and it bugged out ~1.5 hours in. Tried even reinstalling the game, couldn’t get it to progress so got it refunded. The PS5 version hasn’t exactly been bug-free, but nothing yet that’s stopped me from progressing! It’s still a fun game, but minor glitches and bugs make it frustrating at times. Spider-Man 2018 is definitely still the best of the Marvel games, IMO.

Diablo 4 - Kinda burned out… 50+ is basically the exact same content on repeat. I’m excited to see where it goes though. I’ll jump back in for Season 1.

Overwatch 2 - To scratch my competitive itch. Sad that PvE has been trimmed down so much.

Deeprock Galactic - Rock and Stone! Best class based FPS PvE experience available on any system. Made me excited about OW2’s PvE. Now I’m excited about DRG 2 (is this a thing?)

No DRG2, but Ghostship does have a couple projects about to be in playtest. DRG survivor as a rougelike arena shooter bullet hell, and something else I can’t remember right now.

:0

I didn’t know it was available yet, I saw the trailer a while back. Just requested access. Rock and STONE!

Just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider. Got it for free on the Epic store last year (along with the whole trilogy). My patience has paid off :-)

Gameplay wise, this was my favorite of the trilogy. It had the best balance of action, exploration, and stealth. Enjoy

Diablo 4, just wish I could slow down and enjoy the story more. I’ve been treating it like PoE. As if I’m rushing to some endgame content.

That is not patient! 😜

Grandia 2. I played the original back on the Dreamcast but never finished it. I believe I had to return it to Blockbuster before I could get it across the finish line. I picked up the physical edition from Limited Run Games. It’s really good. I like the writing the music!

Just finished Doom 3. Played the demo back when it was first released, and now finished it nearly 20 years later.

Definitely more horror than frantic shooter. And the lighting is too dark in places, forcing you to use the flashlight.

Overall I’d give it 7/10, but nowhere near as good as either the originals or Doom 2016.

Started dishonored for the first time yesterday. Currently replaying Mirror’s Edge and jogging along in Horizon Zero Dawn

Ah, what a joy it would be to have Dishonored to start again for the first time! Amazing games.

I got a VR headset so I got to play some VR titles I had been wanting to try.

  • Half life Alyx
  • The Last Clockwinder

If you want to slash shit with big-ass swords, I’d recommend Until You Fall as well!

It’s a casual swordfighting roguelite in VR. It’s a blast.

You have any other VR recommendations? I just got a headset, playing through alyx, don’t know where to go from there other than Skyrim vr

  • I Expect You To Die: I’ve yet to finish it, but it’s hilarious. You’re playing the spy in over-the-top spy scenarios.
  • SUPERHOT VR: brutally satisfying. Don’t expect any kind of story, though.
  • Pavlov VR: literally VR CS:GO. Most advanced and satisfying shooting I’ve seen in VR yet.
  • Ancient Dungeon VR: Pixelart dungeoncrawler (roguelike) in VR. Absolutely phenomenal. I’ve only played it for a small amount of time, though.
  • Beat Saber: classic. I don’t like rhythm games that much, but with custom maps, it’s one of the best imo.

Skyrim is my go-to nowadays, though. Modded, it’s one of the most immersive experiences, ever. It’s also my first time playing, so I’ve a lot ahead of myself.

I’ve been playing Heroes of the Storm and BOTW

Taking my time with Tears of the Kingdom.

Once I beat it, I plan to jump on Yakuza 5 in order to continue my journey through this awesome series! Missing ‘only’ 5, 6, Ishin! and the Judgment games.

I’ve been clearing the map in Jedi Survivor, but I don’t know that I’ll finish. Maybe just get all the upgrades, Koboh is just so spread out.

Then I think I’ll start the Dead Space remake. I missed it the first time around, while I was on a break cuz I was broke.

Could just play the OG version too. PC version needs a couple tweaks to run well, but it will cost you peanuts. Whether it’s a better or worse experience than the remake is arguable.
