They’re calling it an MMO with their tags, so yes.
I hope it’s a skateboarding battle royale game.
with procedurely generated worlds
and crafting and survival mechanics
and creature taming and economy
And a battle pass.
And upgrade trees for my gear with purchasable cosmetics.
And an option for me to swipe my credit card, for a reasonable fee, that will allow me to unlock a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The reveal video looks really good! Definitely some solid competition for EA and their upcoming Skate game.
This looks fun. I’d love to try it, but I don’t see any console support 🙁
There’s also Helskate, which is another title with former Tony Hawk’s devs involved, and which recently entered Early Access.
Interesting, though, that they’re coming back-to-back like that. I guess, maybe the excellent Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 from 2020 inspired them to create another title…?
My guess is that they all got fired at the same time when the studio was folded into one of the CoD teams.
Ah, I almost assumed something like this might have happened, because seemingly everyone in the games industry has been laid off in the past 5 years, especially when their titles were financially successful…
