Legally, going to the registrar so fast isn’t even the right course of action. You first have to contact the poster, then the platform, then the hosting provider, then the registrar. Of course in normal DMCA cases the first 2 are the same person so you don’t really have to do that (and also who will care if it goes to court)
(I am not a lawyer)
To me this is what allowed them to not comb through the millions of documents. Since you have a piece of evidence they gave you admitting to destroying additional evidence, they basically can get not goodwill at all in front of a judge, so it doesn’t matter if they say “your honor everything was turned over during discovery and we’re all clear”, the instant your lawyers contact their lawyers, it’s settling time.

i won’t even try the last 2 what the fuck is this
It’s already legal to download backups in certain jurisdictions, for example in France.
Also, it’s very undocumented but you can actually generate an offline installer for a copy of a game you own on steam. It will still require steam and to be logged in in offline mode with an account that has a licence, of course, but it is a thing you can do.
It’s not incredible. The crew 2 is overall a very okay game that didn’t need to exist, they could have easily remastered the crew 1 and make a better game. The coop is basically you get to play through any race including most story related ones with members of your party and if someone from your party wins you all get the progression. This means nothing as progressing is generally quite easy since the bots usually have way worse cars than you because getting parts upgrades is easy. Also the story isn’t anything to write home about, it’s the now classic “influencer drives car good”, unlike the crew 1 which at least tried.
I’ve finished all missions.
Honestly? It’s fine. The game is worse than the crew 1 (the map is considerably smaller despite both depicting the US, and the upgrade system feels worthless), but I’ve never felt the need to pay to get anything, and beyond 1 pop up on login, I’ve never even looked or been made to look at the store. If you’re after top performance in online races then probably most people in the top of the rankings paid to be there, but imo the crew 2 is simply not a good multiplayer competition game. For solo or coop, you’ll outclass the bots most of the time, the challenge is against yourself.
Sure, but racing games simply gate your progression for gameplay purposes. Here I’m just working at a job to eventually be able to afford my own ship, and I already do that for a house in real life. The progression isn’t gated by game mechanics, it’s gated by landlordism and capitalism. If I wanted to work a space job I’d just go played eve.
I doesn’t have auto hotkey because for the most part, you can control Linux from the command-line without someone having to invent a new scripting language from scratch to control it.
I heavily recommend you familiarize yourself with bash and the system commands you’ll need to send key presses, move windows, spawn and kill programs, etc.
That’s still steamos2, based on debian 8 (current is debian 12). What’s on the Steam deck is much more recent, usable and stable.
There’s some user made distros that are basically just like steamos3 though, but at that point you may just as well install a mainstream linux distribution and simply install steam on it.
