That’s still steamos2, based on debian 8 (current is debian 12). What’s on the Steam deck is much more recent, usable and stable.

There’s some user made distros that are basically just like steamos3 though, but at that point you may just as well install a mainstream linux distribution and simply install steam on it.

“sure our game has gambling elements, but we’re Nintendo so shut the fuck up and give us a better rating because you’re a private company in the business of giving ratings”

A bit sad that a PS5 exclusive wins it, but it’s a great game anyway.

Also: brand shield says they only wanted the url gone but you don’t get that when talking to the registrar. Registrar are all or nothing, so clearly they knew they were doing this

Legally, going to the registrar so fast isn’t even the right course of action. You first have to contact the poster, then the platform, then the hosting provider, then the registrar. Of course in normal DMCA cases the first 2 are the same person so you don’t really have to do that (and also who will care if it goes to court)

Number for number, sure, if it’s actually available at that price.

The problem is that Intel’s drivers sucked in the past, so they definitely have to prove themselves with this launch. I definitely wouldn’t be buying it release day if I needed a GPU.

(I am not a lawyer)

To me this is what allowed them to not comb through the millions of documents. Since you have a piece of evidence they gave you admitting to destroying additional evidence, they basically can get not goodwill at all in front of a judge, so it doesn’t matter if they say “your honor everything was turned over during discovery and we’re all clear”, the instant your lawyers contact their lawyers, it’s settling time.

If you own track mania nations forever on steam, you will be unable to run it on a modern OS. You can install mods to make it work but the game is still for sale and if you’re unaware the mod exists, you’ll never be able to play it again

Delicious in app purchases tag

If you liked art of rally, I suggest Parking Garage Rally Circuit. Much of the same vibe.

According to the EULA, no. According to common sense, leave the steam password in your will and you’re fine.

It’s already legal to download backups in certain jurisdictions, for example in France.

Also, it’s very undocumented but you can actually generate an offline installer for a copy of a game you own on steam. It will still require steam and to be logged in in offline mode with an account that has a licence, of course, but it is a thing you can do.

The worst part is it’s not that far fetched, we’re actually pretty lucky that valve isn’t massively predatory and we didn’t end up with bobby kotick instead of gaben

Have you tried internet archive? I don’t think it’ll help with your specific problem because only LG tools can fix this and I suspect they want to use original URLs even if you can find the file.

Sure, I can’t guarantee I’ll succeed but I can take a look.

Take two bought the game, no?

Also: the devs went to work at valve it’s not like they can’t physically talk to the single most powerful person capable of resolving this if I’m wrong on point #1

Just to confirm, when your phone is connected to your computer with a USB cable and in the download in progress screen, running fastboot devices on the computer shows a message to the tune of no device connected?

If that’s the case and the other startup combo actions do nothing, the phone is dead.

When “download is in progress” appears, do you get anything out of fastboot devices? If not, the phone is probably bricked. If so, you should be able to reflash the OS with fastboot commands that should be in the various threads on XDA.

It’s not incredible. The crew 2 is overall a very okay game that didn’t need to exist, they could have easily remastered the crew 1 and make a better game. The coop is basically you get to play through any race including most story related ones with members of your party and if someone from your party wins you all get the progression. This means nothing as progressing is generally quite easy since the bots usually have way worse cars than you because getting parts upgrades is easy. Also the story isn’t anything to write home about, it’s the now classic “influencer drives car good”, unlike the crew 1 which at least tried.

I’ve finished all missions.

Honestly? It’s fine. The game is worse than the crew 1 (the map is considerably smaller despite both depicting the US, and the upgrade system feels worthless), but I’ve never felt the need to pay to get anything, and beyond 1 pop up on login, I’ve never even looked or been made to look at the store. If you’re after top performance in online races then probably most people in the top of the rankings paid to be there, but imo the crew 2 is simply not a good multiplayer competition game. For solo or coop, you’ll outclass the bots most of the time, the challenge is against yourself.

I heard good word about Paradise Killer, in which you’re also a detective and must figure out the truth

The outer wilds is amazing. You should play it.

Both have heroes and are shooters, but the similarities end here, but you’re overall right. From what I’ve seen of concord, it’s just valorant with a mediocre twist, whereas deadlock has been my go-to game for the last week.

I don’t know what this sub’s view on that is, but a hacked switch is especially nice, since usually the latest releases won’t be cracked right away but older ones will be

Been going back to Minecraft parkour and adventure maps, lots of fun

This is a classic move to not get sued, exactly like airlines do. If you try to sue them after redeeming the gift card, they can argue that you’ve been made whole, and do 'ot 'eed additional compensation.

Sure, but racing games simply gate your progression for gameplay purposes. Here I’m just working at a job to eventually be able to afford my own ship, and I already do that for a house in real life. The progression isn’t gated by game mechanics, it’s gated by landlordism and capitalism. If I wanted to work a space job I’d just go played eve.

Ah great, space labor for when my earth labor day is over and I really need to unwind.

This is done all the time to sell games that aren’t available as CD keys, against TOS.

The seller usually gives you a login to a webmail they control, and the account is tied to that email. You can then change the email on the account and you have access to the original email to confirm the move.

This isn’t a “we’ll sue you” clause, it’s a “we’ll never do business with you again” clause

An alternative is python, it can do GUIs easily, and it does have mouse-control facilités as well and it is cross plaform. That being said generally on Linux you don’t even need to automate mouse click, as almost all of it can be controllers with straight up commands.

Fall guys works. I used to play it on my stem deck. Fortnite is notoriously busted though.

EAC is now largely compatible with Linux, but devs have to enable support per game.

I recommend browsing protondb to see how (if) people have made games with anticheat work, you might need to change proton versions, add launch options etc.

I doesn’t have auto hotkey because for the most part, you can control Linux from the command-line without someone having to invent a new scripting language from scratch to control it.

I heavily recommend you familiarize yourself with bash and the system commands you’ll need to send key presses, move windows, spawn and kill programs, etc.

Yeah there are plenty of kwin effect you can install that would make it as pretty as windows 11 if that’s important to you. Just like there are plenty of themes you can install if you want a macOS experience instead

The “choose the default app” modal has special code that makes it say “HEY BTW EDGE EXISTS CLICK HERE” If the modal is for choosing your default browser. It is absolutely about control.
