I started playing NMS a while back, but I had zero clue what I needed to do. I guess I need to go back and check if I skipped a tutorial.

Yeah, exactly. People should have fun. In fact, I wish all games would include cheats. Sometimes I want to go crazy.

I was surprised to see that you are correct. 173 StGB only mentions “Beischlaf” and that is indeed only vaginal intercourse. You learn something new every day.

CSAM sure, but is incest porn really mentioned in the StGB? There’s 173 StGB, but that is for the actual act and not pretending.

Then technically I am correct? If Valve just shuts down, it’s all gone. You might find a workaround for some of the stuff you happen to have downloaded right now, but in general, everything you “bought” is gone.

If gaben decides tomorrow to shut it all down, everything is gone. They might have a lot of good will based on past behavior, but in the end it’s still a company and you have zero control over what they do. You don’t actually own any of those games.

I backed it right there in the beginning. I don’t even have access to my account anymore and I stopped caring. Star Citizen will always live in infamy, as this bizarre project that turned into some cult-like abomination and will just run ad infinitum until either the money runs out or the sun swallows earth.

I think that ship has sailed. That word is at the moment a clear sign the person using it is an asshole. It can be reclaimed, but right now I don’t see that happening.

530 dollars for 251 games in almost 22 years of service. Steam only logged about 210 hours in those years, which is bullshit. There’s almost no time recorded in Half-life, Day of defeat or Counterstrike and those are the games I played the most. I also got most games through Humblebundle, where I spent 270 dollars since June 2012. But as I haven’t been playing much on PC ever since the PS3 came out, the real money went to Sony and I don’t even want to know.

Exactly. It also means you’re being sued by the copyright holder and not the state. You won’t go to prison for this shit, as opposed to actual theft.

My first reaction was “that’s bullshit, of course I know what I want”. I love story driven games in a grand world with some fighting, but it shouldn’t be the focus. My favorite games are Horizon, Uncharted, Dragon-Age, Skyrim. But then I thought about all the similar games I don’t like, like GTA, Ghosts of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout, Metal Gear Solid., Zelda.

Meh. Not having high hopes. Also, with movies I believe that it got made and released when I see it. So many projects are scrapped before people get a chance to see them.

I enjoyed every Dragon-age game so far and Veilguard is no exception. I think the writing is fine. Not great, but good enough. I can see why some people would complain, because it’s definitely watered down compared to DA:O. But I am still having fun almost 60 hours into the game.

Is there maybe a generational gap? I am older and I very, very rarely watch videos. Maybe when I am totally stuck in a game will I watch a walkthrough. But just watching other people play is something my kids and their friends do. I think games just caught up to sports, where most fans spend more time watching than playing as well.

I have it on the PS5 and did four playthroughs already. No other game since the last two Deus Ex games has captured the spirit of cyberpunk so damn well. And with CP77 being open world, it is so easy and nice to immerse yourself in the world. One of my favorite games of all time.

Security and convenience will forever be on opposing sites of a spectrum. You can move alongside the spectrum but more of one thing will mean less of the other. That’s just a fact.

I loved the feeling of the game, but the pointless random fights ruined the game for me. You just walk around, come across some open space and realize there will be a fight for no reason at all. Fights should be part of the story and not just forced for the sake of them.

I spent about 400 hours in Night City and I am itching for another run. The game just really did it for me.

A friend just did the same thing. My two PS5 controllers I’ve had since the beginning are still fine, luckily. The price tag for the DualSense Edge controllers, which apparently have the hall effect sensors built-in, is absolutely ridiculous. I saw them on Amazon for just under €230. Almost half as much as I paid for the damn console. I don’t know what the guys at Sony smoked, but it was too much.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

That copyright can be inherited is one of the atrocious fuckups we let happen.

I just started DA:I again and am indeed collecting shards in the Hinterlands. But it feels OK, so far. I have so many memories of that game, with the first playthrough clocking in at about 100 hours. I like being able to run around and discover stuff and with the influence score it feels like progress. But I’ll still give Veilguard a chance.

Steam doesn’t even give me the option to install DA:O because it’s only available for Windows.

They seem to explore a different style for each Dragon Age game. I loved the shit out of DA:O and am still sad that no sequel captured the atmosphere of DA:O. But I still enjoyed every DA game. DA:I in particular was a lot of fun, even though it was not Origins. So I am hopeful that I’ll enjoy Veilguard as well.

I just wish I could play DA:O again. But I don’t have a Windows PC anymore.

I have no insight into the issues regarding this game, but I’ll just assume that, as with most bad things, business majors are to blame.

I think I spent close to 400 hours in Night City over 4 playthroughs. Good Night, Valerie. Today was a good day.

I love great long games. I want to be sucked into the game and enjoy it for as long as possible.

It’s one of the very few games I’ve finished thrice. It just really grabbed me.
