Cis white bisexual guy from Ukraine. That should about cover it.
This is why I’ve never really gotten into either League, Dota, or, lately, Deadlock. The matches are just too long and most of the length is padding.
Overwatch has its issues, but at least even the worst match is over after 15-20 minutes. And the stomps are even faster, reducing the amount of time you spend not having fun on either side.
Imagine is one of the favourite games in my IRL friend group whenever we get together. It’s basically Alias, but instead of explaining the word verbally, you use transparent cards with shapes drawn on them that you can overlap and move around. It’s chill, fun, and fits any group size.
Calico is my personal favourite, because the concept of making a kitty blanket is just too cute to pass on.
P. S. The link isn’t where I bought the game - I just googled the English version and posted the first link I found.
Correctly done level scaling should be optional. Like in Dark Souls 2, after you defeat a boss of an area, you can use a special consumable to increase the difficulty of that area to NG+. And it’s stackable, too. That was one of DS2 unique mechanics I’m actually sad they didn’t add in DS3 and Elden Ring, because sometimes I don’t want to restart the whole playthrough in NG+.
HoloCure is another take on Vampire Survivors genre, but with slightly more complex mechanics (closer to a twin stick shooter) and VTuber themed characters. It’s also completely free on Steam as it’s a fan made project, but that does not detract from its quality in any way.
It’s an extremely addictive and replayable deck building roguelike with poker theme. Although you don’t need any previous knowledge about poker - all information you need is in the game. It’s very easy to pick up but gets tough at higher difficulties, and it hits that “one more round” urge just right. Oh and it’s also dirt cheap even among other roguelikes.
There’s also a mobile version if you have a lot of extra time but not a lot of access to a PC.
For me, Elden Ring. I enjoy open world exploration and collecting-heavy games, and I also enjoy soulslikes for the strategic combat and variety of options. So ER was like two of my favorite ice cream flavors combined into one delicious meal.
