Failing early is normal - your runs will get more consistent as you progress in the game across multiple days. And when they do, that’s when it really hooks you.

I’m switching between Blue Prince and some other games, but it’s still such a good time whenever I play it. But then again, I’m a fan of both roguelikes and puzzle games. Just didn’t expect these two genres to mesh so well.

To quote one of my favourite book series of all times (Mistborn): “There’s always another secret”.

I haven’t noticed any performance issues and my PC is pretty old. I expected more hassle with installation, but you literally point it at game’s exe file and click 2 buttons.

I’m guessing there might be issues if you uncheck some of the restrictions like matching boss size to arena size, but I haven’t ran into anything on default settings.

Tried out Elden Ring randomiser mod, can feel my addiction returning.

Also have been playing Blue Prince on and off. Phenomenal game, but also not easy.

It’s almost like early access games aren’t finished yet

6v6 is already back, in open queue format

Nah, it’s pretty good now. Feels better than OW1 was, personally.

Terraria. You can choose difficulty of the initial save depending on how familiar the players are, and there are several clear milestones that can serve as transfer point (usually marked by beating specific bosses). In a small world, 20 hours is probably doable? You can maybe find a suitable seed for world generation to be sure.

I was also thinking about Elden Ring - despite the game size, the minimum required amount of bosses to beat the game is surprisingly small, and you can also divide the game into milestones. If it’s too short (like, if your players are speedrunner), you can add the DLC on top.

For me, Elden Ring. I enjoy open world exploration and collecting-heavy games, and I also enjoy soulslikes for the strategic combat and variety of options. So ER was like two of my favorite ice cream flavors combined into one delicious meal.

I’m sure they can find another publisher if it comes to that, with how good their games are

This one and Balatro have consumed many hours of my phone’s charge

This is why I’ve never really gotten into either League, Dota, or, lately, Deadlock. The matches are just too long and most of the length is padding.

Overwatch has its issues, but at least even the worst match is over after 15-20 minutes. And the stomps are even faster, reducing the amount of time you spend not having fun on either side.

Imagine is one of the favourite games in my IRL friend group whenever we get together. It’s basically Alias, but instead of explaining the word verbally, you use transparent cards with shapes drawn on them that you can overlap and move around. It’s chill, fun, and fits any group size.

Calico is my personal favourite, because the concept of making a kitty blanket is just too cute to pass on.

P. S. The link isn’t where I bought the game - I just googled the English version and posted the first link I found.

Is that a new medical condition that is caused by sitting in one place for tens of hours playing PoE2?

-fall seems to have taken over from -craft

Welp, there’s always Elden Ring modding scene for new releases

Correctly done level scaling should be optional. Like in Dark Souls 2, after you defeat a boss of an area, you can use a special consumable to increase the difficulty of that area to NG+. And it’s stackable, too. That was one of DS2 unique mechanics I’m actually sad they didn’t add in DS3 and Elden Ring, because sometimes I don’t want to restart the whole playthrough in NG+.

I mean, fun is subjective. For a lot of people Balatro strikes just the right spot between strategy and randomness, and is very replayable. It’s perfectly okay if it’s not your cup of tea, though.

Balatro getting nominated for two separate GOTYs is wild (in a good sense)

Innovation for the sake of innovation isn’t it either, chief. You gotta strike a balance between new and familiar.

HoloCure is another take on Vampire Survivors genre, but with slightly more complex mechanics (closer to a twin stick shooter) and VTuber themed characters. It’s also completely free on Steam as it’s a fan made project, but that does not detract from its quality in any way.

The answer is I enjoy both games that capture my whole attention and games that allow me to watch something in the background. Sometimes I feel like doing the former and sometimes the latter

I usually open streams on a second monitor while playing, unless the game demands my full undivided attention for extended periods of time. It’s more of a case by case basis for me.
