Sword and Shield feel like the older games to me (I have been playing since Fire Red and Leaf Green, then went back and played Ruby/Sapphire with Emerald being my favorite title). Sw/Sh adds group raids and an area with tons of Pokémon.
I am also playing Violet, which I did not mention here because it is a newer title. Again I enjoy it, but the style is a departure from the older titles as they were going for an open world feel. You can challenge the different story points in any order, but some you still need to be higher level to finish. I think they should have done it where the levels scale.
I decided to try guilded.gg as an alternative to discord finally, only to find out they now require a Roblox account to log in. So much for that idea.
I am not a fan of the genre. But a friend I met playing EverQuest back in 99 started to play it because his 6 year old son wanted to play, so I started playing. I enjoyed playing with them, then my own son started to play with us too.
Were this not the case, I would never have played. My friend died in ‘22 and I mostly stopped playing. His son still calls me to play. But other than that I play other games.
If you like the genre, it is a good game. You can play 100% for free unless you needs skins (there are a number you get for free)
It’s a Chinese game developer. These are the things they’re sensitive to. COVID started in China and I guess feminist is a big fucking red flag for women in China?
The Black Myth: Wukong sexism controversy stems from employee reports that developers at Game Science have been making sexist comments for many years, and there’s a suggestion the company doesn’t want women playing its games.

Is it though?
Every artist, performer and creator on Patreon is about to get screwed out of 30% of their gross revenue, which will be diverted to Apple
Yes, it makes it sound as though everyone is about to start losing the 30% to Apple No matter how their subscribers pay. Which if you read patreon’s blog post you will see is not the case.
Apple’s fee will not impact your existing members. It will only affect new memberships purchased in the iOS app from November onward.
Which is contradictory to the first line of the linked essay. Does it suck? Yes. But the author of this “article” is trying to build anti-Apple outrage with this piece. Let’s not pretend any company is altruistic. Even Patreon takes a cut.
If you never got an answer. Helldivers 2 remains unlisted in 177 countries
No Man’s Sky for sure will be one I play a lot. I also need an Arceus, so I am going to have to get Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, or Shining Pearl.
