I organized pen and paper RPG conventions back when D&D 4 came out. We banned D20 based games even then as a boycott of WotC.

The best new use of woke is the woke right.

The author James Lindsay has defined it in similar terms, as “a victimhood-based identity politics” whose “victim groups are whites, Christians, men, and straight people”. He argues that the movement is “roughly intersectional” insofar as it is obsessed with identity politics and a grievance relating to anti-white racism. “Like their counterparts on the Woke Left,” Lindsay writes, “the Woke Right have accepted as fact that there’s a conspiracy against people like them and that their only real hope is to lean into the identity grouping and advocate for collective power under that heading”. In these terms, the “woke right” is a kind of ideological doppelgänger, whose members exhibit the same precisionist and absolutist tendencies of their leftist counterparts.

Pierce Morgan uses it more and more often against right wingers to great effect.

Woke is now a synonym for Social Justice warrior.

A person or movement prioritizing moralizing outrage about minor grievances over actual effective societal change.

As my half Nigerian cousin likes to say on issues like white people wearing dreadlocks: “That’s something only white privileged women care about.”

The radio stations were extremely good. I still listen to the soundtrack at times.

Marketing and sales strategies are excellent for this game. It unifies in game purchases focused on whales like with mobile games and selling early access to an alpha. There’s also an aspect of collectibles and exclusivity like with NFTs. It‘s also cult like in many aspects. An utopian perfectionist vision evangelized by a prophet.

You can find obscure games going back to the Amiga pretty easily nowadays.

I used to play this fun game in the early 1990s. I had tried to find it again for a every couple years on and off. Now it simply runs in the browser.

I also really enjoyed this one. Played it on Nintendo Switch.

Valve will do with SteamOS what’s good for them and their profits. They aren’t in this for idealism.

It’s not a no brainer. If they want to run x68-64 games on it, they need good tools like Apple’s Rosetta. It would definitely decrease performance and lower the number of compatible games.

Valve is interested in controlling the software they use on their hardware and not being dependent on Microsoft or license costs. They are a for profit business. More games running on their machines help their sales.

RISC-V would be a terrible architecture for them at the moment. There are zero chips available with somewhat competitive performance. The number of commercial games that natively run on it is also small if not zero.
