This list is the way to go. My last Lan party was about 17 years back but there is one golden rule, which is still more important than anything else: pick a game no one has played or one that everybody is familiar with! The biggest fun killers are unbalanced teams and matches. Despite that, we liked the first flat out game which now should be wreckfest and strangely enough a soccer mod for CS:S back then.

IMO we really should try to look at these games as “new ones” and not put them into a Schublade (pigeonhole). Please correct my phrasing if I’m wrong.

It’s its own style, gameplay and story. Sure we can make comparisons but we shouldn’t expect them to be like the games we compare them with. As an example, Avowed was compared to Skyrim and people immediately jumped the train and accused it of being too linear, not big enough and not having much choices. Undeserved because it’s nothing like Skyrim, at least for me.

I hope Rebellion didn’t chase any trend and had its own ideas but we will see. And btw: never, NEVER preorder!

The parkour system in unity is the most advanced, most fluid one in the whole series!

Soooo… I think I’m about to leave the first proper map. The voices aren’t as bad as I thought at the beginning. Some NPCs have stronger accents than others, taking the backstory of the island to account it totally makes sense since a lot of people are coming from different regions.
I love the comments from the companions every time you stumble across a new region, street, house. It really lets you feel like they know the way around and you’re the visitor.

The story picks up a notch and gives enough choices for every mood. Also it lets you remember some of your choices and opens new ways to solve some quests. Combat feels better and better as more you dive into. All weapons are viable and are well balanced. I started as a heavy two hand melee but now my second loadout is a book with a pistol…

The map design is really really nice IMO. You really have to take a look behind everything to find something. The loot is plausible. Enemy placement don’t feel off.

After all it’s a good solid game. Maybe not a full priced one but for 10-20€ off a really nice worth to be played one.
I hope it doesn’t fall off the more you play…

Performance got worse in Paradis but still is around 90 in my case.

So far I kinda like it but haven’t played much, just arrived at the docks.
The art style is nice and you really can see the love for details. The voices feel a bit off, for a non-nativ english speaker it sounds like americans trying as hard as they can to speak with a british/Victorian era accent.

For those who’s playing on PC, check mods for performance. After some tinkering I’m getting solid 120+fps @1080p with high/max settings with RT enabled (FSR quality and FG) on a RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 3600.

I will give an update as long as i don’t forget it

The nice part: you don’t have to engage into combat. You can talk your way out or maybe, what will suit you more, use poison and be friend with the shadow.

And even if they show the ping it’s often a lie… Best example is Diablo 4 half a year back… In-game showed around 60ms when in reality it was like more than half a second +

Network tools showed always at least triple the amount the game tried to let you believe.

IMO publishers and devs are using shortcuts and trying to hide it…

Played it about a year ago when it was still in EA. AFAIK, the full release will be in a couple of weeks and there is a demo, which you can test ATM.

Imo this game is perfect for people who want to build a village/town and manage your economy without the hassle of attacks or else. There are some events like bad weather but almost every time it’s not that big of a deal. Last time I played, I had multiple bugs where the economy stopped working which started a spiral downwards. But this was a year ago. Oh and I forgot to mention, this game has already a pretty big mod library.

Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord’s combat physics are awesome compared to the scale of the battles. Example: on foot, striking with a big hammer, you won’t pass the shield but if you swing from a horse at full speed you will. + modsupport

Not a favourite anymore but still beats my second most played games by a factor of 4… Warframe was fun at the beginning and really clicked at about 200hrs. I left after about 2200hrs because I burned out but it still has a place in my heart.

We’re on the same boat here, I’m a notorious “have to explore everything” player so often NG+ is boring but a few games still hooked. God of War from 2018 was a fun one. Also Witcher 3 and the best of all was Nier Automata but I have to admit, Nier Automata isn’t really a new game plus in this manner

Where’s Blizzard?! If I remember right they made a billion only on Diablo 4 Microtransactions… It’s like more than half of whole Ubisoft

I have been playing videogames since 1992. Went through almost every controller design possible. From the modern ones, I never liked the layout from the playstation so sticked to Xbox. At the moment I’m using a GameSir T4 Kaleid and absolutely loving it. Mechanical buttons and hall effect joystick are very nice. Since I’ve had it only for a year I can’t say anything about reliability. Most reliable Xbox controllers in order are Xbox classic controller S, 360, One. After that every single one is bad IMO. Series controller start to drift pretty fast, same as both elites. So at the moment my most favourite is the Xbox One controller 2nd revision (1708) also known as Xbox one S controller but if the GameSir won’t break for the next couple of years it will be the top one for me.

I hope more first party controllers will get a proper higher tier version with real reliable parts like everything hall effect and mechanical buttons…

Haven’t the time but did they mentioned anything about a new engine?

I’ve done the mistake to buy the base game… I’ll never pay 40 for an DLC where awesome games costs less than half. Despite that PoE2 will have couch-coop…

Just a small heads-up, don’t post the full code as a whole. Bots these day are cancer…

Double triple check everything and let a friend try to dig around… Befor posting your Infos make a post and chose a random comment or so. This way you can verify it’s not a bot

Sunk 2000hrs into Warframe without paying a dime. Also Path of Exile is a nice fair free 2 play game. For total conversions try Fallout new Vegas and mount and blade

You need to download an apk… Yeah…

It’s totally a scam!

Haven’t played Manor lords yet but through all the games, Foundation checked all the right boxes for me. Definitely worth a look

Reminds me of cyberpunk and the lovely mod which silenced all ads…

My SO played it for an hour. From watching it looks a bit clunky and sometimes you won’t pass holes on the first try, where you have to sneak through. But she likes it more than stray.

No need to be sorry, I also got it wrong. Would Firewatch and disco elysium suit you more?

For world building I would totally suggest Foundation. Also medieval dynasty comes to my mind.

Do you have any preferred games or examples to be more specific?

Don’t just downvote, report this shit. Spam, advert and probably malicious…

Why not giving player 10 to 20 bucks for playing through a half-baked, unfinished, repetitive hell of a mess? If’ve no problems of devs beeing proud of their work butt at least be honest with yourself. Your game is shit when everybody says so. Work on it and make it better instead of defending it how it is. FML sorry for the rant…

The response: we will repsond in 60 days…

“In its response, Tropic Haze has confirmed it has retained the services of an attorney from Pierce Atwood LLP, and committed to responding to the motion within 60 days of the date the paperwork was filed, which was 27th February, 2024.”

I prefer older used flagships. It’s hardly depends on the use case though. I don’t care about camera, games or what so ever. Phone, messenger and maybe a handful of apps for social and homelab. So for me it’s max 100€

This may be truth but I down voted because addiction and gaming were thrown into the same pot. You have to differentiate this topics a little… It’s the same like: car drivers don’t give a crap about the environment and drive like a*holes or people interested in football are drunken hooligans…

Too much of something is literally almost bad for a person.

Edit: plus it’s posted in a gaming community too
