In a similar vein, if you want to try something new check out starsector. You have to get it from their website currently but it’s a great game, lots of potential, lots of mods.

You can try to revive the sector, build your own mega corp, become a pirate, be a slaver, be an anti-slaver, gun running.

No FPS parts though

This can be a depression indicator, for me at least.

I don’t have any good advice for what to do with that info, but I hope it’s not that for you.

If you’re mega stressed and you lose your primary stress relief that can be rough.

Just want to say that Balantro on mobile is fantastic and you don’t need to miss it just because you don’t have a steam deck.

Weird, in UK and I see my streak before the ad plays. No subscription

Very impressive. Now let’s see Paul Allen’s factory.

Sweats profusely

They killed DMZ not long after the BS P2W skins, a real quality company.

It wasn’t directed at you, friend. Many sources, but not the same sort of coverage you saw for HD2 etc, seems to be business or drama related rather than gameplay content related news.

Just feels weird 🤷

I accidentally bought Minecraft for windows for someone when I wanted java… so that was fun.

The launcher just says “here are the options” it doesn’t say why you might want to choose one over another. Ive played since day 0 so I’ve always gone with java.

Just felt like if bedrock was meant to replace java they should have just done it and dealt with it instead of having so many choices.

Genuine question: why does bedrock exist? What does it bring? Why is there the choice between java, bedrock and “Minecraft for windows”?

How do you fuck up this badly?

I tried using the launcher to move a java install from C: to another drive and it just points there and doesn’t do anything? Steam had this stuff figured years ago

I used to feel a bit sad about the 30% but then I learned you get stream keys for your games for free, which makes it seem a lot more reasonable.

New update just arrived with colony events too. But I have to wait for all the mods to update…

It’s definitely flawed in a bunch of ways, I usually play with a hardcore self imposed rule set, getting good ammo to beat armour is one way, another way is just avoiding those fights or taking medium quality ammo from the corpses of other players after the shooting stops.

There are some changes soon where armour is more localised, meaning a spray of cheap ammo to the torso still stands a chance of getting through for massive damage. It may also reduce the number of people wearing armour. I’ve not played in a while, the AI is what really turns me off, dying to a bot a mile away without warning. But that’s also part of the charm. shrug

Yes, but that’s not what this is. More freeform, the loot is the objective (plus mission macguffins sometimes)

You leave the game into a meta game/strategy later

Limited time, limited locations for you to safely make it out with loot. Like Tarkov or DMZ.

I find the episodic nature more enjoyable than mmo total time sink fwiw

It’s on gamepass too, I have game pass but haven’t played it. Watched a few streams, that was enough

The one time I got a prebuilt desktop for myself it was an HP Omen. Terrible decision.

Single unit radiator that struggled to cope with the CPU under any load, custom case so a larger rad AIO won’t fit, buy a new case.

Usb controllers overwhelmed while streaming and gaming so bought a controller card. Nope, there is only one slot on the mobo and that’s for graphics. (Yes, I should have checked first)

Useless bloatware always crashing and popping up over screen. Changes made to windows registry mean sounds fade in if no sound was played for a while (including alerts or memes on stream so you only hear the last part)

Many regrets.

I saw a bit of those on stream and thought maybe the time affected the quality of the result… but no. It’s just filler shit to get your space dragon speech spell or whatever. Then the enemies are all bullet sponges. It all seemed very transparent and very familiar.

I enjoyed my play through but the story and environment seemed to want to tell a story the game itself didn’t.

I don’t know how to explain it, I wanted to have more of an impact than just choosing of an area goes red or blue

Jagged Alliance 3 on hard. It’s been pretty fun streaming it, a few choices but really I just enjoy making the map turn blue.

A few nice callbacks to JA2, decent voice acting. Running cheapest mercs I can get away with because the diamond mines keep running dry and I’m barely breaking even most of the time.

It’s a fitting successor to JA2 and I hope there are expansions in future.

Mega drive version of Theme Park.

I saw it getting closer in the release section of gaming magazines, closer… then delayed… closer… delayed… then I finally got it and the cartridge casing was deformed and wouldn’t fit in the console.

My mum had to brute force it because I was losing my shit.
