Makes sense. Personally the lack of OLED isn’t a deal breaker for me. It’s a big upgrade in every way from my ancient Index

Fair assessment. It’s got all the bells and whistles except OLED. Makes me wonder if they’re planning on an OLED model in a year or two like they did with the Deck. They know there will be plenty of double dippers.

It’s finally happening. They found their way out of the wilderness.

Valve has a huge amount of good will to burn and the cynical side of me is waiting for the day they start.

I’ll probably stick with the external item descriptions mod but this is a great update. The trinket buffs are so very welcome.

At this point there’s way too much quality of life added to Rep+ to go back now.

A supposed insider on Reddit mentioned that this will be their new hardware ecosystem which will allow combining multiple devices for improved performance. The example they gave was having a desktop, a Steam Deck, and a new Deckard VR headset then using 2 or all 3 of these devices in tandem for better gaming performance.

They also mentioned the new Half-Life game is likely to be announced in the first half of September for release in November, however in could be delayed until next year if they aren’t perfectly happy with the state of the game.

This person said this is all part of the “Steam Next” era which will be introduced to the world with an Orange Box kind of release.

You find them in the world and can pop them into TVs. There’s no video but it’ll play the content as subtitles next to the glowing television

Interesting, they did do a lot of world building in Shipbreaker that they could absolutely branch out with.

Hopefully their next projects are more fully realized. Shipbreaker had an incredible foundation for a game but I think they really dropped the ball on the last couple major updates. The game felt 75% finished at best.

Finally bought the Dead Space remake and WOW do I love this game. It’s even better than I remember the original being.

Looks cool but I’ve never played a clicker game. I like Melvor Idle but I’m not sure how much I would like simply repeatedly clicking on things to progress

Still a little expensive for my taste but I think I’ll pick up Space Marine 2 since a buddy has been hounding me to play it with him

MH World currently has way more players than MH Wilds. I was personally very disappointed with Wilds and would way rather go back to previous games.

At this point I’m avoiding Xbox products out of spite for the ridiculous naming conventions

I almost feel bad for being 200% not interested in this game based on the two trailers I saw

Totally fair take. What they lack in durability they more than make up for in ergonomics and control customization features.

I’ve got a total of 8 of them with only 2 busted bumpers. I’d say that’s not terrible considering they went through 1000+ hours of the Souls series plus Sekiro.

I wish I had a dedicated group so I could get into these novelty indie games of the month. In my experience these games usually aren’t worth playing with only 2 people.

Mostly just that they’re not longer being produced and the second-hand supply is dwindling. Also the bumpers are prone to breaking and a USB-C port would be nice.

My hill to die on is that RE7 and 8 should have been a new IP. I think both the Winters’ story and the overall Resident Evil plot would have stood stronger on their own and forcing them together in such a contrived way dilutes both of them.

My biggest issue with Destiny 2 is that I paid $60 for it and then it soon went free to play and I had absolutely nothing to show for that $60 I paid.

Edit: oh yeah and that original $60 campaign was removed from the game by the time I went back to check out what was new. There was straight up less content available for me after not playing for a year. I felt so ripped off that I wrote the game off.

Roboquest is one of my fave co-op experiences in recent years

Unfortunately I’ve seen several negative reviews on Steam referencing the fact that it’s free on Epic. Hopefully this decision doesn’t hurt sales much because the game is unique and fun and well made.

All of the deluxe premium preorder early access bullshit basically pushed this game off of my radar. I’ll wait until the dust settles before I even consider buying into it.

V Rising might be the best game my gaming buddy and I have played in the past year. It’s really well made with lots of stuff to do for a group. Plus there’s a big update right about to drop in a couple days.

The text blurb just below seems to imply that the expansions are only included in the deluxe edition. The fact that it’s so hard to tell isn’t very promising lol

My understanding is that they are included? Unless I read it wrong

Edit: oh my god you’re right

Creating new horse armor to lock behind the deluxe edition is possibly the greatest piece of video game irony ever

It’s fun but doesn’t quite scratch the itch. It’s a lot more arcade-y and simpler than War of the Monsters. Way smaller maps and less environmental interaction

For 2 players? Kingdom: Two Crowns is surprisingly fun
