Isn’t Android 15 gonna make it hard to sideload apps or something?

How do y’all forget KDE connect?

Didn’t someone shared an article that said that PS exclusive era is over?

There’s an option in Developer options that’ll allow to bypass that setting

Edit: this is on lineage OS but I can’t find it in version 21 maybe it’s on 20

It’s currently on sale, Steam Europe, for 23 base game or 46 game + dlc till 18 December. Probably sale for 2.2

Edit: adding Steam

To be honest it seems a theme with Studio Trigger, do they focus to much on graphics then rush when the deadline aproaches?

Strange there are some on the XDA but unofficial.

You could just try searching for ROMs and going to their git page or website and get a guide on how to install specific ROM. I recommend Lineage OS since it’s the one I used for two~three years and because it doesn’t come with Google shenanigans

The spech is amazing, that’s practically what I want in a phone, although I have one more requirement: Qualcomm CPU. I wanna install custom ROMs

Ha jokes on them I always keep it off. Wired headphones all the way baby

Maybe. Go into Play Store store settings(android app settings) -> open by default and turn off open supported links. Not sure it’ll work for you but give it a try

Edit: clarifications

Personally I would stop installing custom ROMs if the DAMN MANUFACTURER STOPPED SHOVING GOOGLE DOWN MY THROAT

I use rooted Lineage OS. Why?:

  • Viper4android
  • Iconify
  • Neobackup
  • replace webview(you could do it with ADB but there’s a module so it’s easier after resetting phone)
  • DRM disabler

You need play services probably. Not sure you can install only one so you most likely need GAPS, try Nikegaps or find some other GAPS providers. You might need root or adb

If you have USB debugging on then yes. If not try to see if you can mirror display with USB and a TV/monitor. If that doesn’t work a USB mouse will have to do if you know that layout of your phone. A keyboard could also work for the pin. I always suggest leaving USB debugging enabled and paired to your computer so in such cases you could just do

adb pull /storage/emulated/0(or another number if you have different users or work profile /path/to/desired/location

This way you’ll pull all the data from everywhere and delete what you don’t need. With USB debugging enabled you could also use SCRCPY, it’s a neat tool that’ll mirror your screen and you can control the phone with computer mouse and keyboard. If you do want to try and enable it’ll be in Developer options/settings, if you have them enabled if you don’t you gotta press on Build Number in your about phone section in settings.

If your rooted with magisk try nikgaps. Also you could try installing LineageOS with GAPS

If you want similar privileges try Shizuku. It’s not fully fledged root but you can still use it to do some interesting stuff.

Personally I would look for Linage OS supported devices on second hand sites. I managed to get a Oneplus 8T for around 250€. Didn’t had any problems and it still runs smooth

No you dont need root to flash, but if you install magisk you need to flash the patched boot image therefore have bootloader unblocked which is needed. What I meant is that if OP decides to root with Magisk it’ll just be easier to install Lineages OS(if his phones are supported) than to search for the firmware file to extract boot image since Lineage offers it already extracted

Can you root? If so then why not try Lineage OS. The phones seem old and a lighter OS wouldn’t hurt. For battery you can try ACCA (requires root) or Accubatery Also depends on region but 3G gets taken down. WiFi and internet are dependent by tower distance and by how many WiFi clients and networks are around. Try WIFI widget handy tool. Cpu-z to check clock and thermals, ram usage and clocks. I do recommend installing Lineage OS and there are magisk modules if you’re willing to try, they might work they might not.

Didn’t knew that. I would give cpu-z a try to see I’d everything is working well

Ah there’s a mistake on my side. Yes Lineage OS hasn’t released android 14. But I dont know if One Plus did. If you flashed vendor android 14 it might be incompatible with Lineage OS 20 which is based on 13

Ah, I thought you we’re on Lineage OS. You could still try to tweak some settings or try some root options

For the camera give open camera a try. Also try disabling animayion in developer options, you install cpu-z and see if the procesor clocks well. Apart from this I dunno, did you installed it correctly? I dont think Lineage 20 runs on android 14

Could use some ricing. Try iconify

Most likely because of android battery saving. Check this site . I might be wrong but that looks like Lineage OS? Try disabling battery saving for that app in settings

Try acca and acc. Dunno if will help but it’s good for charge limits. It van be hit or miss though. If your going to try change acc versions if it doesn’t work

I do understand why you might want to go over to Linux phones but as they are now it’s not worth it.
You can can flash another ROM such as Lineage OS with root and outmatch any Linux phone. There’s also termux if you want a terminal emulator and android has a shitlload of apps, some worse some better, but you have them. Don’t get me wrong Linux is great but Android has too many advantages in the mobile space. Anyway that’s just my opinion

I use magisk it’s open source, systemless, has option to hide root from other apps and has option to update the boot image after an OS update. You can get modules from the magisk repo. The app I use are viper4android and iconify. There are more but they don’t come to mind, a must have is bootloop saver. There’s also shizuku that is accepted by some of these apps but I haven’t really checked it out. It also depends on OS and if you can unlock bootloader
