I have had every playstation except for ps5 and I have never played a rachet and clank game. I don’t intend to change that. The bits and pieces I’ve seen of the more recent stuff carries a bit too much of that deviantart furry aesthetic for me anyways. Timberborne is probably as furry as I’ll ever be comfortable with.
This keeps coming up but it seems kinda dumb. I can’t just go buy a new 80’s Honda civic because I don’t know how to fix mine, but I could probably repair old consoles if I had the parts. The weirder part is how the games industry can continually port or remaster old games and expect a profit but it doesn’t work that way for most of anything else. I don’t think it’s anyone’s fault if things don’t make it to the future. Games aren’t books and you can’t copy them in the same ways. Console makers can’t even write good emulators for their own hardware. I’m fine with bootleg backups as long as the IP holders can be forced to fuck off from stuff they were just going to dump in the abyss anyways. My kinda disjointed 2¢ anyways…
YouTube is bugging out on me so I can’t actually watch the video, and I have only played the GameCube editions. I would say if there are any quality of life additions then it would be worthwhile otherwise no. Pikmin always felt really janky to me. Something with controls, menus and stuff, progression. It was a great game but coming back to it as an adult it just needs too much wd40 and duct tape.
Doesn’t steam let you download games you purchased that have since been removed? Will they try to bill developers still in this case?
