My grandma once complained about something wrong with her web browser. She had a generic install of Windows, so was using Internet explorer. I told her she should use Firefox (my cousin was there, and agreed) so she told us to change it.
Installed Firefox, deleted desktop icon of Internet explorer, added desktop icon for Firefox. My grandma couldn’t understand why the little picture was different, didn’t know what to do to get to Facebook, and told us to fix it so it worked again.
So my cousin changed the icon from Firefox to internet explorer. Problem solved.
Linux is a good idea in theory, but someone really needs to put the work in to make it look and work as close as humanly possible to Windows. I don’t have time or patience to be 24-7 tech support for everyone in my family over 60.
Thru games, as in from start to finish? Macopopips…Mapocolups…

Samsung was caught disabling phones in Mexico because people were buying phones from other regions where they were cheaper.

I do this with 4 different devices and it just works. I wouldn’t leave the vault file open on any device I’m not actively using though.
Keepass XC (Windows) has a setting “automatically reopen the database when modified externally”. If the file is open and Syncthing updates it from somewhere else, it should open the new file and prompt for the password again.
Pocket Pair even provides you with the server if you want to host on your own computer
REally? I was just thinking this morning about Super Mario Wonder’s online activity, and wondering why that couldn’t be done just between friends without Nintendo’s servers. I remember X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter had a PvP/co-op play option where one computer would act as the ‘server’, and would coordinate play among a number of remote players. This was back when dial-up was king. Now everything requires a server and a monthly subscription for remote play.
Most of the phones I’m looking at max out at 256 Gb storage, minus whatever the OS uses. My next phone will almost certainly be a Sony because of the SD card slot. I do a lot of RAW photography, and travel in enough places without data service and/or sketchy cell access that large local storage is not negotiable.
But you can’t. Corporations are formed specifically to protect the people behind them from legal accountability. The CEO/ board can really only be punished for crimes against the corporation (embezzling, not trying to make money for shareholders, etc.) Even when the corp. very obviously causes deaths, it will just declare bankruptcy and reform under another name. Johnson & Johnson was sued for killing people because there’s asbestos in talcum powder, so they spun off the talc division into a different company, and then had that company declare bankruptcy.
Don’t make me tap the sign.
