And this is after they announced twice they were done updating the game and moving on… Larian is addicted to updating their already perfect game with more content

Tbh I don’t know any other game that allows personal HRTF customization other than the PS5 presets

Great, so now all games require AI-upscaling you’re left out of any ability to play them

my card supports FSR

Yeah this is “we have DLSS at home”. As someone who tested both, DLSS is the actually good one, FSR is a joke of an imitation that’s just slightly fancier TAA. Try DLSS Quality at 1440p or DLSS Balanced at 4K and you’ll see it’s game-changing.

Predecessor is the best MOBA I’ve ever played, and it’s not even out of early access yet. Right now just grinding Brawl because it’s braindead action but the normal gamemode is also good.

1440p at regular monitor size is probably all you’d need, but the annoying issue is that 1080p content looks worse on that than it does on a 1080p monitor

someone better

Someone who can milk their playerbase better. Lootboxes and other “surprise mechanics” (addictive gambling), battle passes, games as a service

If you want a serious answer, you could theoretically disable all security checks on Win11 so you could hex-edit patch it to run, but it would be (1) a lot of effort and (2) probably show that it’s nowhere near finished, because it still misses UI integration for example

Arcane is not a video game adaptation lol. It’s a story that’s nowhere ingame except for like two one-line voice lines.

It’s still data I’m providing to Zuckerberg, and I’m seemingly getting friend requests on it?

I just set up a Quest Pro and couldn’t get past the setup without Meta account

On Steam you can usually pay the difference to upgrade to a deluxe/ultimate edition

There’s a massive overlap between DnD players and video game players too, and barely any video games that implement the DnD 5e ruleset. I’m willing to bet that helped a lot with their marketing: “DnD the video game” was very convincing.

You need an “OV chipkaart” for that, which then does work on all public transport, but you can’t buy things with that card in stores

The Netherlands lets you use your bank card for all public transport now (OVpay)

Going with her to the nine hells is her “good” ending.

Letting her explode is her bad ending.

Not saying you’re wrong, but this seems about equal to the shit Western developers pull on their game releases nowadays

Wyll’s act 3 content feels so stupid, where he suddenly starts ego tripping and becomes less and less likeable. “The blade of avernus” my ass

P7 only has connectivity issues in third world countries like the US. It’s not a problem in Europe

Whatever the most recent cheapest Pixel costs

…things that are also being complained about often?

A theory of mine about this problem is that an AI knows what it should do (because of training data) but not if it was effective; as it doesn’t have a metric to test if its output is engaging to humans. When an AI generates dialogue it does so by copying and merging many existing snippets of text, but without a clear set of goals in doing so. When a human writes dialogue, they have a specific atmosphere in mind, a set of goals, foreshadowing, the tone shifting throughout the sentences etc. AIs might accidentally do it right from time to time, but more often than not they mess this part up.

Yeah BG3 is a great game because it’s not afraid to be a CRPG through and through. It’s not trying to be a MMO-lite nor an action game nor a shooter. It’s a 2023 AAA CRPG that’s very well done.
