For PC players, please review the following information regarding upcoming changes required for continued service use. ■ Notice on Upcoming Denuvo Removal Denuvo support for the PC version of Hi-Fi RUSH is scheduled to end at 00:00(KST) on January 16, 2026. Please note that even after Denuvo is removed, the game’s own anti-tampering features will remain active and will not affect normal gameplay. This adjustment is intended to provide a more stable and efficient service environment.
I have been kinda interested in this, but it somehow hasn’t been on sale since August 2024, and with so many other great games to play it just has to wait.
Why buy a game when the devs won’t get a single cent? Current owners Krafton are even in court at the moment over rug-pulling the devs of Subnautica. Great game, do not recommend buying it under any circumstances
I remember reading that DRM is really only helpful at launch time anyway as it can slow down (but not stop) pirates, ideally forcing those most excited ahout your game to pay. Once your sales are slowing / pirates have already broken the DRM there really is no further point to it, unless maybe you’re regularly publishing updates and the DRM is still slowing the pirates?
It might be that Krafton has a weaker relationship with Denuvo than Microsoft did.
From what I can tell, it looks like their only other games that have used it were the Callisto Protocol (which also had it removed eventually) and inZoi (which used it during beta but removed it before the full release).

And now they’re owned by Krafton, an “AI first” company
Yaaaay

Buying video games new is for the weak.

I assume it just means the game won’t launch anymore after that date if you don’t update since denuvo can’t be contacted anymore.

RUNE already released this.
Dunno where to contact fired devs to send them cash/money orders.
…what does that mean exactly? Is there an online component to this game or something?
I assume its something that is against modding, and something to avoid unlocking DLCs for free. This is speculation on my part, I have no idea.
I hope Krafton clarifies. I’m fine with offline anti-tampering measures.
Translation: they want to stop paying Denuvo for their DRM system

Considering the developers won’t be prospering from this in any way, I’ll be making sure to be aboard the ship as soon as I can.
