I mean, if you’re gen z or gen alpha, there’s a good fucking chance you’ve never been legitimately able to purchase the OG version of a game if it was a PC game because even the supposed original on Steam and other store fronts was upgraded to a remastered or remade version replacing it.

Yeah not like they’ve been pumping out as many as they possibly could or something. Yeah no shit people are going to have played at least one if you flood the market like that.

This has as much meaning as the number of people who have watched a movie remake or listed to a cover song. Good media is good media and sometimes an updated version is a benefit even though sometimes they are cash grabs.
