Heck yes! About time these abondonware companies get put in their place. Some might just have empty updates now tho
Good move, but some great in work games will get caught up in this such as Project Zomboid which is being worked on but has a glacial release cycle.
Its just a warning, if the game is still active people can still access it.
While I agree, PZ did just get updated with Experimental 42 like back in December, so I don’t think it’d receive one of these for a while.
Even PZ gets updates in smaller scale between the big releases. This will probably only flag truly dead games.
This is a great idea. While devs could circumvent this by just pushing small, meaningless updates to refresh the timer, truly abandoned projects would still be flagged.

No. The steamdb extension shows the last update date.

Downvoted because bluesky link. Fuck Jack Dorcy
Oh? What should I look up to find more? Did something happen?
I assume that it’s his relation to endorsing X again after he left it’s(bsky) board after bsky refused to enter federation territory and then proceeded to add moderation tools to the platform (an action he was strictly against as he wanted it to be completely freedom of ideas).
TBH I agree with a lot of his mentality on it(that it should be further into the federation territory), while I do think some moderation tools are needed, but I think he loses all credit to his claims by endorsing X as the platform that is capable of doing what he wants.
Eh. I hate Jack Dorsey too, but mainly because of his involvement in developing Twitter, which is net negative for the world. When it first came out, I thought the 140 character limit was dumb and would only serve to dumb down communications, and nothing I’ve seen on that platform has given me a reason to change my opinion.
So yes, fucl Jack Dorsey for coming up with the base concept to begin with
