Well, it’s a reprensention of the Catholicism of the south of Spain and they’re pretty heavy over it in there. I’ve been playing the first Blasphemous and I haven’t seen anything OVERLY sexualized.

Yeah I learnt a bit about the whole Andalusian penitentes from the Worst of All Possible Worlds episode on Blasphemous II

That’s cool. I’ll make sure to read it up. I’m not from that particular part of the country so my knowledge isn’t the best either

Surprised that Nier Automata is not showing as similar, from the gameplay I saw it is essentially the same game.

I played Nier on Xbox so no playtime comparison on Steam.

Man, I think my playthrough of N:A was absolutely ruined by the RPG mechanics. I was lategame trying to get to this rumored “amazing story”, and something about my numbers wasn’t adding up because even switching to easy mode it was taking AGES to beat the bosses.

So yeah, I’m not even generally a fan of soulslikes, but S:B’s action-based difficulty was definitely more to my tastes.

I get what you mean but as an avid souls player I can tell you N:A wasn’t easy at the beginning. Felt like an “old game” then something clicked for me and was able to really enjoy the game and ended up getting all endings. It is not for everyone.
