I think most users just get a new device eventually. So as long the OEM have to get Ms licenses. Windows will still be around.

I also checked on my account forgot to mention that.

I get what you mean but as an avid souls player I can tell you N:A wasn’t easy at the beginning. Felt like an “old game” then something clicked for me and was able to really enjoy the game and ended up getting all endings. It is not for everyone.

Surprised that Nier Automata is not showing as similar, from the gameplay I saw it is essentially the same game.

I’ve got the feeling that GPU development is plateauing, new flagships are consuming an immense amount of power and the sizes are humongous. I do give DLSS, Local-AI and similar technologies the benefit of doubt but is just not there yet. GPUs should be more efficient and improve in other ways.

The Sandevistan Mods, Autoloot and Damage Scaling was what I used to roll.

the Sandevistan one is stupid fun, I don’t remember which one is it (got it from some YouTube videos). You stop time, throw granades and knives, slice through baddies then you watch everything unfold when time restores.

“Oh, don’t worry, we’ll just have the Generative Vocal Algorithms start reciting the Bee Movie script. And for text, how about a 500-page dissertation on the philosophical implications of loot boxes? It’ll either be avant-garde brilliance or the perfect cure for insomnia. Your move!”

–ChatGPT (for realsies)

The difference as I understand it is that the frames in-between the real frame are generated by extrapolation in the Frame Generation technologies. They use one of the many flavors of AI to do this.

The TV’s Motion Smoothing is interpolation (which is fine for Movies) as there is no latency to be “felt”.

I also like my telenovelas. For real, im so used to it that I notice when it is not active.

Last time this happened to a Chinese game I owned, it’s because their publisher was removed off steam for fake reviews or something. The devs had to get a new publisher and issued owners of the game new keys to the game since they had to make a new store page.

This sounds very plausible to me.

" You are making me lose money!" Said Scrooge the company worth 67 Billion.

So, you want to use AUR whenever possible by adding -git to every package that you want to install, also mess with your python install by mixing pip and AUR packages, don’t forget to install your nvidia beta drivers.

“Control multiplayer spin-off which the company said will give players a “unique Remedy angle” on the genre.”

You mean PvP with flying, telekinesis and other powers…

Could this be the new Quake?

Soul Reaver Remaster? Too soon. Dude, I just want Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster for a proper update in graphics.

As cm0002 said, you need to define your budget first. With that you can start looking around. You can find a more capable system than the SteamDeck second hand.

For a new system, look for a System Integrator that offers warranty. Usually local PC stores offer this kind of service.

That’s a very bad business strategy, it should be one or the other, X Cloud or in Console parity. The parity being the weak one. I would like to know the defense arguments for this strategy.

Microsoft is getting a bad rep because they don’t want to let the Series S go. They are not handling these problems very well. The Series X should be the “cheap” platform and they should have a “Pro”, called Series XS (pronounced excess, you are welcome Microsoft), so they are the platform that people want and not the platform that’s holding back games.

I completely disagree with the usage of the word completely because I completely believe it is a completely exaggerated title. Completely

What are they going to show? Overwatch mobile? Everyone has a phone

I played cyberpunk with Lutris and Heroic Launcher, once installed there were practically no issues whatsoever. Of course you miss the achievement log and save sync.

They don’t need to support the Steam Deck, they just need to support linux. Funnily enough GOG was one of the first platforms to try to bring the games to linux.

For those on Linux/SteamDeck, check LatencyFleX. It can be used with Intel, AMD and Nvidia cards. Careful with games with Anti-Cheat they might not like it and get you banned.

Agree, I own a lot of games in Steam but most come from bundles or were not bought a full price. I do buy full price games on GOG because I can have a backup offline.

That is actually a really good point, I was grouping all together. That being said, as other user mentioned, to debloat and do other things like having a system wide adblocker you do need root. There are of course rootless alternatives but having root is more persistent.
