And yet they thrive, kinda funny isn’t it?
Tell that to the Gamecube and Wii U eras. Funny that those are also all-time peaks for game quality, Nintendo is better at making video games when they’re struggling.
They still don’t lose anything, not if they can port/upscale them on the way and sell them for today’s prices, why have backwards compatibility am I right?
The Wii arguably has better first party games than the GC. Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy, DKC Returns, New Soup, Wario Ware…
They thrive now, but they will never forget the Wii U
Mate, with how much the Switch sold, I think they already did.
All the games being ported from Wii U to Switch would beg to differ.
An opportunity to re-sell the same games with minor updates (I am looking at you 35 Mario anniversary edition) to a higher user base for today’s prices?
What am I missing here?
They made Wii U as obsolete as possible by releasing majority of the games on the switch
Perhaps, but they did that by “not forgetting the Wii U.”
Furthermore, Nintendo will never forget the Wii U as it was a lesson for them.
