Steam Deck Lite one day that is pocketable

I would buy that SODAMNFAST! Lol

That was a really excellent write up, thank you for elaborating. It’s helpful to know the truth of how these companies are acting, and important for consumers to try not to forget. They will continue to take advantage, if we allow it.

Oh that would be cool. I should probably just look at a guide or something. I think that would be beneficial for me nowadays in general anyway.

For sure, I will probably mute or turn it way down next time.

I need to give this another chance, but I wasn’t able to get past the initial first level because of the constant alarm sounding in the background.

This is something that should’ve been backwards compatible, not re-released

Ok, that one might catch my interest.

You think they’re going to vastly improve it though? My impression is they’ll do some kind of gimmick again. I could be wrong though.

and then they’d re-sell it a bunch of times after that too.

That looked like it could be fun, the trailer did a good job presenting the game.

Interesting. I didn’t have those same reactions, but your reasons are valid. The game kept my interest through the majority of it, though I never did beat it. I definitely just nope’d out of some of the more difficult areas in the game, so I kind of get what you’re saying. For me though, I felt like the mechanics were enough to keep me playing even if the characters weren’t that interesting or whatever.

With Nine Sols so far I’m really enjoying it (I haven’t played that much yet). It is rather difficult though, and I’m not sure how far I’ll get with it before I get burned out on it…

Falkerie71’s comment was pretty accurate.

I hated Hollow Knight

but why though?

Yooka-Laylee and the impossible lair has been one of my favorites since it came out. Such a good game, everything about it is phenomenal.

This seems pretty awesome, I may just have to give it a go. I never had a chance to play through MM back in the day.

For anyone on the fence, I’d wait a while and read reviews too if you’re thinking about getting an early access copy. The game seems good, but as it’s in early access, it’s still got quite a ways to go for refinements in the gameplay and other things. I do not consider it very playable right now, until the controls are able to be customized, and the game doesn’t run very well right now either (for me, you may have different results on your system).

TMC and four seasons are some of my favorites from back in the day. You’re in for a treat :)

The only similarities I’m seeing is Japanese, and metroidvania. That game looks cool too though, and I appreciate the hand drawn aesthetic. Have you played it?

taopunk! This game looks like it’s going to be sick!!

Thanks for the heads up! Super excited to get back into this one!

Hell yeah, Onimusha was (still is?) badass! I haven’t played since the ps2 days

Looks cool, and I like the synthwave music

Ok, going for a Japanese take this time it looks like. Hopefully it’s better than Viking lore. I wasn’t into it last time, and that’s ok.

That’s valid. I remember being enamored with the architecture/setting in the originals.

Where is this one located?

Didn’t know there was another one coming out so soon. I’m not very surprised though. Anybody excited for it?

Honestly, I don’t think I’ll own another console at this point.

PC will have my focus.

🤣 yeah it kind of does. I like platformers and metroidvanias though, and I have fond memories of several previous entries to the series. That is the appeal for me. The game’s got good reviews, it’s nice to see the series actually getting some stuff right this time, especially because the last entry was such a disappointment for me.

It’s definitely a money thing, but I don’t think it’s in the way that you are suggesting. I think it’s a matter of them making more money (somehow) by excluding Steam. That’s pretty much the only platform it’s not available on.

Good to know, I’m not really up to date with the scene.

Yeah, that’s pretty much where I’m at with gaming now. Why settle for a subpar experience? I don’t have the time or finances for that.

Fuck Ubisoft.
I was pretty hyped for the new prince of persia game (the lost crown), but come to find out it's only available on ubisoft's proprietary launcher or epic games. Nope, and nope. I just want to have it available on my usual storefront, Steam, but it's been decidedly omitted. As a long time fan of the old games, this kind of hurts. Especially since many of the others -are- available on Steam. I wonder if/when it will come out for Steam. These platform exclusivity deals need to die. Edit: It's also available on several consoles, my post was just from a pc gamer's perspective.
