Yet it shot back up. Same as when it was down on Friday. Fucking stupid.

I think it’s great that the UK stepped on their dick and this made big news in the tech world. I don’t know if it got any play in more mainstream news, but it highlighted the dangers of over-regulation.

I’m typically pro-regulation, btw. I’m not a libertarian fuck-nut. Privacy is also cool, is what I’m saying.

I told a younger coworker that computers before broadband still had bugs, but generally worked because shipping updates was a challenge. Now everything is half-assed because a patch is a click away.

Did we finally realize that our platform is toxic and won’t regain advertisers that we told to “fuck off”? I think we did!

What a dumbass. “Think I’ll just directly violate the findings of a court and see if they notice.”

I hate this guy so much. Hope he gets run over by one of his shitty trucks in full self/driving mode. Best part is that they turn off FSD right before impact to absolve blame. Oh, poor guy got smooshed, but FSD wasn’t to blame.

As I was thinking about this, I thought that I don’t use my pinky’s nearly as much as I’m finding that I do after a brief evaluation. Yes, go all in on learning to touch type with proper form. I also don’t use my pinkies for :q, however. Well, I used the pinky on my left for the shift key but the ring finger on my right to type the colon.

The Dithering podcast was talking about Intel in today’s ep. They agreed that this shit needed to change both ten years ago and (further back) when modern smartphones became a thing. I worry that Intel can’t right this ship.

Lonnie isn’t capable of delivering anything he promises. This should be clear to everyone by now.

Only redeemable for CrowdStrike credits and only at participating locations.*

Yes! Do it. Make your platform even less relevant, Lonnie. Run that shit right into the ground.

Apple’s guy in charge of those systems called “hallucinations” exactly that last night in an on-stage interview with John Gruber.

Sorry, wrong target. Sue the cops who didn’t act. Oh, wait. They’re basically untouchable. Well, I guess sue yourselves for having children in America. That’s about the only case you might win.

Back when Bungie made Mac games only. A friend was super into this. I played a bit, but only a handful of games really appeal to me. Still, stuff like this warms my heart.

Units of measurement that are divisible by ten? Absolutely awesome. I wish we used it.

Our system (capitalism) is so fucking broken. It’ll take us to utter collapse before we see positive change.

Contact your representatives if you have good ones that are useful and effective. For the rest of us, pour one out.

Beyond the Baltics, war zone areas around Ukraine and the Middle East have also seen sharp rises in GPS disruptions, including signal blocking meant to disrupt airborne attacks.

If the impact on uninvolved civilian aircraft isn’t enough to demand an end to these conflicts, I don’t think we’ll ever get our leaders to do anything.

Panic Software used to sell a cool tshirt with their logo. It was one of my favorite shirts but shrunk before I knew how to do laundry correctly.

I played the first one in, what… 2001. That was on Mac. It probably came out for PC two or three years before that. I haven’t played the sequels. Just being an old man talking about stories that don’t go anywhere.

Cut them some slack. They’re at an age where they’re trying to assert their independence and their brain is still developing. They’ve got time to mature and find more worthy fights over which to spill words. Or maybe they’ll remain smooth-brained. But either way, right now they’re not at their best.
