It would be nice if at the very least the app stores wouldn’t bother posting the rip off versions.

I played it the year it came out (whenever that was).

One of the few games I actually played all the way through. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the environments, puzzles, and animations were really well done.

Why is Google determined to kill one of its cash cows? Cramming AI into search results feels like “New Coke”.

Strange. This looks like a decent evolution of the previous game, with a built-in audience.

They’ve made a lot of good peripherals like keyboards, mice, joysticks. Xbox one used to support Kinect and TV tuners which was nice.

The surface line has been interesting, and I’d be tempted to buy one if they didn’t come with Windows 11 (I need to look up if you can install Win 10 on the newer ones).

They came out with some wild stuff during the Sidekick phone days like Microsoft Kin and Zune. But honestly current management doesn’t seem to be interested in anything but boring but profitable software services (like Xbox game pass) that they can charge a subscription for.

Someone at Microsoft thinks they can sell the expensive razor blades without selling razors. Probably why they purchased Activision.

What is the goal in this game? Watching the trailer just shows people running around different areas on foot or on creatures. Is this another “explore” game like No Mans Sky, or is there a mystery to solve, or is it an FPS?

The headline says that young people blame social media for divisions in the US. I am pointing out that these divisions have always been here since before social media and that the “young people” point of view (which I doubt is an accurate portrayal) is naive. Phyllis Schlafely used to send out southern strategy-centered newsletters in the 70s for example.

This shit’s been going on since the civil war. There was no Facebook in the 60s but somehow JFK, RFK, MLK were all assassinated. This is nothing new. Social media just brings it into the daylight.

1. Apple’s market share may be larger than some of these other device manufacturers.
2. Clickthrough on Apple devices might be higher.
3. Apple is obviously better at negotiating.
4. There is nothing stopping OEMs from switching default search providers.

You left out the part where searching for Apple products was returning results of counterfeit products because Amazon loves their scummy cheap junk. Apple got sick of this and told Amazon that if they wanted to be a reseller of actual Apple merchandise, they would need to agree to clean things up or Apple would stop selling on Amazon.

There’s nothing stopping Samsung and other brands from demanding the same thing. And they should.

The Microsoft Edge marketing team is indicative of what’s wrong with Windows.

Oh, I dunno. Everyone seems to bitch about Apple not wanting to give any leeway to Epic on the App Store. Personally I find Epic ridiculously hypocritical, so I say let them eat dirt.
