I was deep into Strategy and lore – preferring games that ate hundreds of hours. Unfortunately these days my available gaming hours are reduced to a mere handful. It’s difficult to remember everything when I can only play sparingly.
Thus, I’ve resorted to smaller indie games that can be enjoyed in a smaller amount of time, with less of a learning curve. I’m a casual gamer now. What can you do?
True. Also, the joysticks can be purchased separately. 15 for a few bucks IIRC. There are videos of people changing out the gear from the new one and putting it into the joystick soldered onto the controllers board.
It looks like something I could do. I’m not hardware savvy and get the shakes during precision work.
I just did a battery swap on my OG Dualsense – boosted from 1560mah to 4200. It was $17 and took 5 minutes. It gets well over 12 hours a session. I’m not sure I’d want the controller any thinner. The battery life was my only gripe.
At this moment it weighs 288 grams, nearly identical to the Xbox Series X’s claimed 287g.
