I’m okay with steam because:

  • basically everyone can sell their games on Steam (*conditions apply)
  • it has a (working) offline mode
  • they’re putting a lot of effort into gaming on Linux
  • family sharing
  • it let’s me integrate external games

The Blizzard launcher is just for the few games Blizzard is selling. It asked me to go online way too often. Maybe every single time, I don’t remember exactly. It’s a bit like that Rockstar launcher. I don’t see any value in it besides auto updates.

You still have to install that annoying Blizzard launcher, I guess?

Secret of Evermore (SNES). The atmosphere, the gameplay, the characters… It’s an absolutely awesome game.

Sadly that’s true. I’m in that range and most of my friends use the same password for almost everything. Also nobody does backups.

Then at least make it an option. Just because someone’s grandma doesn’t want to use TOTP or any other reasonable 2FA doesn’t mean nobody else does.

I don’t like any of them. But from what I see, Android is the first one to make that feature in a way that it’s compatible with non-Android devices. That’s what the U in USB was meant for. The Apple version probably only works with other Apple devices, I guess.

piss off their customers

At least for Reddit and Twitter, the users are not the actual customers. The ad companies are the customers.

Exclusive content is always anti customer.

There’s tons of good indie games. And you don’t even need a 2000€ PC to play them.

As long as we put that “exclusive content” crap aside, every one of them can potentially offer every song if they agree with the artist. That’s where the video streaming services are different. Disney+ and Netflix had many overlapping shows until the shittification started.

Yes and no. It’s both electromagnetic waves but the frequencies are very very far apart. So far, the techniques we use to emit and receive them are fundamentally different. Their propagation and transmission characteristics are also very different. Also, the data transmission rate (in theory) only depends on the bandwidth of the transmission channel, not the absolute frequency. But there’s more “room” for large bands at higher frequencies, of course.
