I’m thinking about getting two or three. One for a work desktop, one for my media server, and maybe one to use for transcodes and testing.

Then they’d have to update the actual game, as opposed to just updating the launcher when a change needs to be made.

Updating the launcher is quicker and cheaper.

Windows 11 from Windows 10 is not installing “a damn patch”.

Also Windows 11 is terrible. Along with Edge WebView2, the entirety of the O365 suite now (see Edge WebView2), etc.

An upgrade would be wiping the machine to install Linux or buying a Mac.

It doesn’t. I doubt it will in the future, but its possible.

I still would recommend moving to another solution though.

Its pretty easy and straightforward. You can connect to your gog account from inside lutris, browse your games, download and install.

Which then sit cleanly next to other games you may have, roms, etc.

I haven’t had any issues with gig + lutris, quite a smooth experience actually.

Though most of the games in my library are older tbf.

Personally I’d go with 34", but I’m an ultrawide kind of person.

I’m even considering the ridiculously wide 49" lenovo, at 5120x1440 it certainly beats the 2560x1440 and companion 1080p display I use today.
