Doom. I have 30 years of custom maps that I’ll probably never finish playing. Assetto Corsa, also with mods, I can drive and race any sort of car I can think of. And Monster Hunter. I guess I’d take either 4 Ultimate or Generations Ultimate. In 4U alone I have 1,000 hours.

I have gotten back into non-patiently playing Helldivers, but I think I’ll spend the weekend playing Hex of Steel, CtA:Gates of Hell and Dawn of War:Soulstorm with thr Unification mod, same as I’ve been doing all week.

Well that, and watching the 24h of Le Mans race, this saturday!

I played a lot of the old TDU and the Nacon WRC Games. Long story short, the way they handled Generations, that was supposed to be their last hurrah with the franchise, was so bad, that I completely gave up hope on Solar Crown being good. And I’ve been having the live service hell feelings about it for a while too.

I really wanted to have hope but I knew in the back of my mind to not trust Gearbox.

Same. I don’t even give a shit about them announcing Bloorborne or Gran Turismo on PC anymore. I’ll just wait for PS4 emulation to get better and play that instead.

Was anyone even still inetested in this? All hype has died and it’s still a Ubishit product.

Open a ticket with support where an actual human will read it. The automated refund tool will always deny it.

I feel bad for Arrowhead. Sony fucked them over and it’s not going to take any of the backlash, they will.

I haven’t played on my Switch or really touched in in a few months now, since around the Yuzu news. I’m too disgusted by them to want to do it, and shortly before that, I had decided to mod it and not buy their games again. Now I’m 100% certain I’m going to do that. If I really want to give money to some indie game I like, I’ll buy it on Steam.

They wanted to get pickes up in a billionaire acquisition by some Arab group. But the deal never happened and they ended up with billions in debt instead.

Pulstar, Blazing Star, all other Metal Slugs. I’d say most of the KoF titles but I think out of these listed here only XIV has rollback netcode so the others might be iffy to play online (wink wink Fightcade) Anyway if you just want the best ones, I’d say KoF '98, 2002 and XIII.

FUCKING STOP. Pieces of shit gambled with several studios to get themselves bought and it blew in their faces ruining several of said studios losing many many people their jobs.

That they put in, to force people to buy the MTX instead of modding the game.

Extremely based of them. I want to learn Dusk modding but I’ll first doDooma and Quake. That should give them time to iron out the kinks of the SDK.

I instantly picked up SimCity 3000 there, it’s literally the first computer game I’ve ever played! It was practically free and runs well. Might grab the C&C collection too, I didn’t play those back in the day.

Fucking hell, screw Unity. So many indie game projects got shafted or cancelled because of this, it’s crazy. The devs that could, jumped ship to Unreal or Godot or something else, but the damage is done, and the trust is never to return. Not unless the entire heads tbat own Unity roll.

It’s not not called a “marketing black hole” for nothing. Even hotly awaited games come out on EGS and just vanish into obscurity until they’re on other storefronts.

I have literally 30 years of gaming history in my PC. I can go without playing subscription based games. Fuck off with that, Ubisoft.

God I love old games getting fanmade expansion and mods. The passion people have for their favorite games can kee them alive and interesting after many years. I’ve been playing 30 years of Doom mods, 20 something years of Quake mods, fan translated Super Robot Wars, a fully standalone modpack expansion to another standalone mod based on a custom engine of the Stalker games, I’ve recently got Star Wars:Galaxy at War… The possibilities are endless.

Literally never heard of it. Also, yeah, when I see Paradox I can only think of their terrible DLC practices, which turn me away from most of their games… except the ones made by Harebrained Schemes, Battletech was great. Guess there won’t be a sequel.

Gaben isn’t going to last forever. But honestly the only other good games storefront is GoG. I’ll continue using Steam for as long as it’s still good.

This is how we know they really nailed it on AC6, this is exactly the experience. Well, whenever I didn’t say FUCK IT, and equipped dual Zimmermans and the stun nail launcher.

As an AC veteran greatly enjoying the new game after many years waiting, I feel vindicated.

And don’t worry about sucking at this game! Even I had to spend 6 hours fighting Balteus to finally defeat it. Stick with the game, try different builds until something works for you.

I’m not switching to KB+M but I am switching to Type B controls after struggling against Balteus for 6 hours today. My hands actually hurt from how hard I was gripping the controller, lol.

Dual wielding was basically the only way to play in late Gen 3 as the games got harder and harder, and the enemy ACs started coming more and more decked out (or in the case of Last Raven, straight up cheating) and is what I’m most used to. First thing I did in 6 was to put on dual rifles. But now after trying out other builds I put a sword back on, they’re really fun and VERY strong in this game.

Oh I played AC2 emulated a while back, but just needed to remap the turning buttons to the shoulders and I was good with the oldgen layout. At least until Silent Line when I needed to dual wield. But hey, I defeated all versions of old Nineball with those, so I’m happy!

I didn’t say it in this thread, but since you mentioned it I’ll concur: yeah after a tiny bit of remapping the shoulder buttons and d-pad, I actually got really into the old controls, and other than dual wielding, I actually preferred them over the later 3rd gen style. But both were usable. yeah I’m playing AC6 right now and I’m twisting my right hand into a knot operating the stick and the face buttons at the same time, but this is a kind of problem that every japanese mech game has… Gundam Battle Operation 2, EDF, the 4th and 5th gen of AC too. At this point I’m just used to it.

Honestly the PS1 and PS2 games emulate pretty well on Duckstation and the Nightly builds of PCSX2 (except for AC2, that needs the Stable)
You’ll just need to get used to the clunky tank controls.

From what I understand in the trailer, Imogen’s fleet is being sent out after Karan, which implies they’ve been still out there until just recently. So Imogen has just been put on the position of Fleet Command, and still clings to her more uh, “human” emotions.

Ah yeah I really like the Ys series. I started with Ys Origin and absolutely loved that, it was almost like an isometric Metroidvania, that one. With excellent and memorable music, the music is amazing in this series! I did play Ys VIII too on the Switch and yeah, the performance issues are noticeable. The game is still very playable despite that. I just lost steam at some point about 2/3rds of the way into the game, after the big cave at the top of the mountain. The ape enemies infuriated me, lol. I do want to play more of the series, mainly the older titles. I already know I don’t like the first couple with the bump style combat, but I want to play at least 6 and 7.

Oh. That actually explains a lot. Why the game has been delayed for so long. Why their previous game, WRC Generations, came out as bad as it did. I wish I hadn’t been getting my hopes up for this game now.

I’ve NEVER liked the Fandom hosted wikis because their platform is so fucking bad. I also tend to strongly dislike the Fextralife wikis, mostly because their Souls pages were full of wrong information, or lacking information at all.
But Fandom wiki… blegh, it’s like a full page ad with tiny holes for maybe having the info you need in the middle.

I wish this would happen on the Nintendo eShop on the Switch, I swear 70% of the games in there are crappy mobile port asset flips with a price tag on.

This is sad. They had a good game going there, and you can tell the devs had their heart in the right place. They had serious struggles with cheating early on in their game, which impacted growth and retention of players, but they dealt with it so well they should become industry standard in how to curb cheaters. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. Maybe the game would have been better if it was pay to play instead of free.

Meanwhile, Tarkov is still going, milking their cheaters for revenue, after half-assedly banning them and letting them buy new accounts again…

Yeah, unfortunately all that I heard about that game when it was still up, is that it was a mediocre experience even if you ignored the egregiously bad microtransactions.

I’ve finally played this game last year. It really is a masterpiece of a shooter, half horror game half super violent action shooter, I loved it. And I usually hate playing horror games.
