Arguably Minecraft may be better/subjectively more interesting to hack, considering you’d have access to an insane amount of modding tools and libraries, as well as that the entire game has been so pulled apart that its may even surpass the documentation for mine test (can’t say for sure though cause I’ve never looked at mine test’s source code personally)

I think the most confusing part is that you want both the backend and gui to exist, yet don’t like the current back end.

Realistically you could create some super weird controller using all your sensors at once and just wrap it around termux/adb.

Things like termux’ first goal is to work both programmatically and via a user, a wheel that would be pretty difficult to recreate just for phones

Pretty much except the minecraft scene is a bit more mature; so there’s sources for a purely Foss stack, and most popular stuff you get from curseforge is pretty reputable.

Maybe I’m too diehard of a fan, but the lack of being able to jump on other players/even run into them made it feel like essentially a single player game that’s being played side by side
