Its for DRM. The easiest way to check if you actually own the game is to have the game contantly ask whether its connected to the server. The server should have your payment info. If thats not found, your game isnt legit.

Thats why GOG is so good, their games dont have DRM. Meaning you (and pirates) have a BETTER version of the game. Let me repeat that, downloading an illegal copy gives you a better running version of the same game you mightve paid for, because it doesnt have to contantly talk to a server before the game will allow you to do anything.

When you pirate a steam game, youre also downloading a “fake” version of steam, a steam emulator. The way they break DRM for steam games doesnt remove the DRM, but it slightly reduces the issues DRM causes because the server it is communicating with is local and doesnt have to index user files. Your game just asks the steam emulator if its legit, the steam emulator doesnt check anything, it just says that whatever got checked was legit.

The android port of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 is amazing! Id recommend turning on all the pause options, it effectively turns it into turn based combat. The gui is incredibly intuitive, and you can perform all of your actions either with a stylus or even a single finger. If you like star wars or dnd, its basically guaranteed to be a fun game. Do note though that you will want to install the Restored Content mod, which will require either a rooted android or a computer to allow you to install the mod. It fixes a massive amount of potentially game breaking bugs and restores a bunch of cut content. Not sure what happened with the development of the game, but im guessing the studio forced it to be released before it was complete.

Tbf after jack died we all knew the series was done for. Which is wild, because he wasnt even present in the first game. He was simply so iconic in the second that you really couldnt pull that off again.

I feel like they knew that which is why they didnt even try to make the villians for 3 interesting. They’re so forgettable that I thought i quit the game. I came back to it a year or two later and beat it, and in doing so discovered that i did beat it the first time and literally just forgot because the whole story just sucks. Gameplay, as always, was pretty good though.

Pre sequel is in a weird spot because it came out after 2 but featured jack, and possibly coincidentally (but probably not) its story was pretty great. Gameplay was also great, arguably my favorite gameplay from any of the games. The only down side was that the classes were dissappinting imo.

There’s two different endings. In one of them he survives, but accept that he won’t cure the disease because the camps are the next step in human evolution. Also, he realizes his experiments to cure the disease are horrific and he has become a monster.

Nah m8, they had circumstances that forced them to release it before they wanted to. There is a bunch of cut content and other not fully realized features. People just don’t notice them much because the game is phenomenal as is.
