Ah yes, my comment openly states I hate steam because it isn’t perfect. It’s definitely written in there.

Digital refunds isn’t them being good, it’s them getting sued by Australia.

Digital, haven’t had a working disk drive in like 10 years, two laptops ago was broken, previous and current laptop just don’t come with one.

Yes, pc gamers only care about graphics, that’s why pc is the biggest indie platform, because indie games are known for the best graphics

Huh, never thought of finding tables other people made, I just used cheat engine with a process of elimination every single time.

Arc is good at newer games, however a handheld is more likely than most devices to play older games so maybe not the best choice.

I have an i9 13900, so uh, it isn’t exactly a mid tier CPU.

Stellaris just can’t have a full, long game without eating shit at the end frame wise.

edit: i9 13980HK, slightly wrong model, point stands as its a very high end CPU that’ll beat the snot out of anything normal. Stellaris is actually just brutal to run end game.

I have one of the fastest, most powerful laptops that exist, and the last century or so of stellaris brings it to a crawl.

Bg3 at 4k ultra settings? 144fps. Stellaris? There are some entire seconds without a new frame.

I talked to their support about the library force refresh and it’s apparently intended. That library refresh is literally the only reason the EGS isn’t open all the time like Steam is. Random data usage is bad, and can fuck off. I do not need random lag spikes.

My friends character is in my coop game, and I could in theory continue to play using their character instead of mine.

I think if you played multiplayer you kept a copy of their character, so you could get another account to join? Maybe get someone to make your characters for you

Baldurs Gate 3, Trackmania, Grid Legends and Old School Runescape.

Doesn’t appear so, it seems pretty minor and doesn’t retroactively fuck people over.

SkillUp is great, I have a bunch of new games specifically because of him.

For a local only system advertised as local only, which should have 0 interaction with AWS or the internet because those are not local.

Valve isn’t any more likely than Nintendo, given you can’t buy shares because there are none, and it’s a money printing machine that would have a truly absurd value.

I mean, it was uploading the feed while advertising it was local only, so a tad worse than that.

Because out of the billion or so gamers, some are shit people. Happens anytime a group gets large enough.

The arrow would exist but if you are too far away it’d just phase through enemies and appear in the wall/floor behind them.

Gotta make sure the arrows still exist at distance though, unlike skyrim where you can put an arrow through someone and do 0 damage because you were slightly too far away.

Mix of cost and it doesn’t actually benefit me at all. I buy a cheap phone and it does everything it needs to, i don’t need to add a 0 to the cost to get no actual benefit for me.

Probably makes more sense for people that actually use their phones for work or something.

For the few hours I bothered with totk I never had any lag either, also a launch switch. Maybe I didn’t go in far enough, but it ran smoothly all the time.

I mean, it probably has the computing power to do it. That’s not a super high bar given what we got to the moon with though.

I don’t know about truly independant, but nearly every single time I see the devolver digital publishing logo I expect the game to be good, even if it isn’t for me. They kinda just don’t miss.

My uplay launcher closes when i tell it to and I don’t remember changing that setting, which makes it close easier than common programs like steam, epic and discord. I remember gog also not truly closing but I may have done that intentionally.

The triple admin request on update is fucking stupid though, and idk how a company as big as ubisoft can have that be the experience.

I haven’t even had a disc drive in the last 7 years, I’d need an external one because high end laptops tend to not have space for that shit when there’s stuff that actually matters to consider, like performance and cooling.

Skill up has a weekly show about what’s coming up, what’s come out, and a bunch of indie games. He’s on break for a month at the moment, but it’s good content and has got me to buy a few good games.

Game linked is another channel from Linus Tech Tips that is focused on gaming and I have faith they do their research properly.

Gameranx is also quite good.

All of these are YouTube channels.

I hope they keep going up, and by the time I need a new gaming laptop again in 5+ years time they have them. Currently not really an option for me sadly, but maybe one day

Given what you get for game pass, is it costing more really a deal killer? If you have the internet it’s still super worth it, and if they double the price it’ll still be pretty good.

It takes more data to load basically any page except the store where it’s about equal, that’s probably the difference you’re feeling.

Trackmania 2020, you can do the seasonal campaign, ranked and royal for free, and it’s a fun as hell game with a great community. There’s more if you pay, but theres many hours of game play for free and it isn’t time limited at all.

Does require ubisoft connect, but that’s also free.
