AC3 is literally the worst mainline AC game, and I’ve played them all. And all you ubi haters don’t worry, I only paid for the very first one.

What a blisteringly stupid thing to say, considering I’m a woman.

I love how you’ve personally taken offense to everyone shitting on your precious cyberpunk in this thread. It was broken trash in 2020 and it’s only slightly less trash in 2025 bud. Sorry you have poor taste.

What a blisteringly stupid thing to say, considering art is subjective.

Literally the best action RPG that exists.

Spoken like someone that has played about four or five video games in their entire life. It’s not even an RPG. It’s a shitty first person shooter with pointless skill trees tacked on. Even if you were to classify it as an action RPG, it doesn’t crack the top 20.

20 controllers bro you have a problem and it’s not the controllers. My original Xbox 360 controllers from 2006 still work. My original Xbox one controller still works. My series x launch controller from 2020 still works. And I play dark souls. You have some other issues to sort out.

Nobody asked to have some pointless story injected into their online shooters. I’m pretty sure the people that want world-building and narrative and lore in their games aren’t playing online shooters. I know I’m not.

Apex legends? The fully online battle Royale style competitive shooter? Can anyone tell me why a game like this needs a “character writer” anyway? I’ve never played it so maybe there’s some grand story I don’t know about, but to me this sounds like writing a character for Counter Strike which I think we all agree would be completely pointless.

I mean, barring Nintendo, they still are and will continue to be as long as you don’t need to have games on day one. I very rarely spend more than $20 on Xbox games. Most AAA games go on sale within the first few months. $70 Ubisoft titles will literally be $15 a month after release, not that Ubisoft makes much worth buying these days but it was just an example. The digital storefronts (again, not Nintendo) have sales constantly, you just need a little impulse control.

Said features are mostly gimmicks, and quite frankly the symmetrical stick placement is uncomfortable and outdated by nearly 20 years. Even my $40 8bitdo controller I use for my Switch feels more premium than a $80 PS5 controller. In every other case be it PC, android, or Xbox I am going with the Xbox controller.

Yes, with an emphasis on street skating specifically, and it just feels great to play and nail lines of flip tricks and rails.

Why would you write this and then not say what your favorite jrpg that is specifically more grindy in America is? Do you write clickbait headlines for a living?

I’ve had cyberpunk since launch and the only thing that has improved is stability. The game is still a hodgepodge of half baked RPG systems, most of which aren’t even necessary to interact with. No amount of polish can change the fact that it’s a turd underneath.

My anecodotal evidence agrees. Somewhere between the jackal sniper one-shot deaths and the rampaging brutes soaking up all your ammo it becomes difficult not to throw things, and I swear I am generally a calm person. I play dark souls to relax.

In a somewhat similar vein, the remakes of both Halo: Combat Evolved and Bioshock modernized the lighting and in so doing completely destroyed the atmosphere.

Man I’m so sorry to hear that. For me it was Lucasarts’ Gladius and they finally did add that one somewhat recently. It’s the only game I was keeping my original Xbox for.

Pretty sure you can still play Eternal Sonata on the last 3 generations of Xbox.

I bought the ultimate edition of this game on sale for $15 like a year ago. This game is constantly on sale. This game is also really good and legitimately worth full price. For those of you bitching about epic, just go buy it from your preferred marketplace and shut the fuck up.

I really enjoyed Risk of Rain 1 but I don’t get why people like Risk of Rain 2. They completely changed the game and it plays like shit. Is it only possible to like it if you didn’t play the first one?

I find this especially interesting as I bought the game from a garage sale and when I got home I found out it was just a burned disc with a home-printed label. I was too young to understand the dangers of putting that shit in my cd-drive but old enough to know there was a good chance the game wouldn’t work at all. To my great surprise it worked fine and I played the crap out of it. Probably one of the first games where I finished the single player campaign.

I played DotA for 14 years, but WC3 was home to so many more incredible custom maps. Element TD is an example of another that became a standalone game. But there was also Footman Frenzy, Uther Party, Wintermaul Wars, Hero Line Wars, X Hero Siege, and countless others that made WC3 the greatest RTS platform ever conceived. I hope the suits that pushed out the piece of garbage that is “warcraft reforged” rot in hell forever

“They’re masterworks all, can’t go wrong!”

“Gran Soren, the beating heart of all Gransys.”

“Tis a port crystal ser, one can reach it with the use of a magic item.”

“It hates fire!”

If this was the reason then they’d be trying to sell us these old games again…but they’re not outside of their shitty subscription service that offers a few games that nobody wants.

I don’t really understand your gripe with gamepass here. Personally I’m extremely glad I got to try Deathloop through gamepass because I found out it was just another generic ass FPS that I didn’t want to buy.

but you still had to initiate a battle. Unless you’re just playing stupid, you should go watch some Arceus gameplay to see what I mean.

I like to shit on Pokemon and Nintendo as much as the rest of them but this isn’t really true. Legends: Arceus, while not a great pokemon game overall, introduced several new mechanics, some of which then made their way into Scarlet/Violet. The biggest and best of which, in my opinion, is the ability to catch wild pokemon without battling them.

Yeah, don’t get too hyped up. It’s really just a pretty average open world RPG. Playing Gwent is probably the best part, and even that isn’t nearly as good as Pazaak.

I’m not a stardew fan but “this game is legit insane” is not a phrase that would get me excited for any game.

but you’re just being a contrarian if you think the pedigree of the two companies is vastly different.

Even if we ignore all the other bootlicking and fanboying in the above comment, this statement alone is completely absurd. FromSoftware has developed over 50 games and CDPR has…4? Maybe 10 if you count mobile trash? By the year 2000 FromSoftware had released more successful games than CDPR has released total, good or bad, to date.

It’s no wonder that cyberpunk is such a piece of garbage really when you realize every other game CDPR ever developed has “the witcher” somewhere in the title.

now we have CD Projekt-Red

Holy fuck gamers really do have the worst memories. Cyberpunk is still a shit game after 4 fucking years of patches. CDPR has like 5 titles and one of them is pretty good. FromSoftware has a legacy of bangers a mile long. These 2 companies aren’t even in the same wheelhouse.

5’s combat is better than 4’s in every single way

Halo 5 has ADS and Halo 4 does not. This alone makes Halo 5 combat worse.

Vampire Survivors is a great game but the mobile version is the fucking worst.

Olli Olli World is just plain not as fun as Olli Olli 2, and that’s probably why the studio no longer exists.

I’d argue Capcom is the biggest threat to Monster Hunter being fun, since it’s been years and they still haven’t figured out how to do it, but I digress…
