I am out of the loop and the article didn’t provide the answers. I get the limited supply, but what PC shortage? Is this only impacting Japan? I see many advertisements in the USA for new PCs.
The customer experience and expectations are different. American companies can do what Chinese companies are doing. American companies are unaware or unwilling to provide the same type of customer service (and likely will be at a higher price point.)
Because I want people to be interested, but that requires knowing what a thing is.

I don't understand the Nintendo Switch. How many do I need for a family of gamers?
They are a personal device like a gameboy.
There is a TV version for party games.
The games may or may not be shareable, even with the physical games.
Assume the ideal usage is during screen time on a weekend.
I have been avoiding buying one as I don't understand them. Thinking of getting them soon.
I assume one OLED for the family and then a portable per person, then one copy of each game per device.
