I don’t know what he’ll do to make Minecraft better, he doesn’t have Zachtronics to steal ideas from this time around; and nobody likes him.

Two problems, they are big ones:

  1. The hardware is expensive for a marginal improvement
  2. The games coming out that best leverage the features like Ray tracing are also expensive and not good

They’ve also been one of the drivers of ballooning AAA costs, because everyone has to compete at the level of The Last of Us

To clarify: the ESRB is the rating arm. The ESA that runs it? That’s the lobbying arm.

It looks interesting but thats about all I can say

OtherSide also failed to make System Shock 3 so expecting this to ship is… hopeful

Clear and strict management would get this game out the door. Instead, it was Michel’s pet project and the company protected him from their and his worst impulses, AND sexual harassment claims.

Beyond Good and Evil was a masterpiece, and a sequel will never be.

What killed this game was Square Enix didn’t make it multi-platform. I’m not buying a 800 dollar console to play this.

I can see where the next revenue stream will be: Publishers want a tithe from Twitch for streams of their products. They’ve been polite up until now because its free marketing, but if even one dataset says there’s money to be made…

Phil Fish was the first and got blown out over it, we should have taken heed.

I ended playing Deus Ex for the 10th time last week and I realized there’s not many big budget titles that I like that shipped past 2017. The attention to detail, system complexity, and writing quality is just not there anymore. Its all slop. The last one that I can even remember with any fondness…is Arkane’s Prey. Well that’s not true, I dig Metaphor ReFantazio’s (sic) art style. But I’ve played JRPGs.

I think the AAAs are cooked, folks. But Indies? Have you heard of Mouthwashing? Empires of the Undergrowth? Satisfactory? Those are my timesinks and what sticks in my mind the longest.

I’m sure World of Goo 2 will come to Steam someday. I can wait.

Fewer companies are falling for the Epic swindle, which is why Epic is now full on publishing games now.

I can’t wait for these to be EOLed due to the exec shakeup.

If you think he has some disgusting viewpoints and personality, wait till you see his wall.

Thank you for saying something common sense. Streamers of all kinds are probably not the ‘experts’ we need to listen to.

Oh its just Asmongold removed, not a good streamer, or person at that. Opinion discarded.

Nintendo: Emulation is illegal, criminal, and you should never ever do it. If you do, we will sue your ass, send the Pinks, and then shit fury on you!!!

Also Nintendo:

Needless to say, I will not be buying an alarm clock today.

I get that you should cultivate the audience you want to play your game, but Ubisoft can’t win for losing. This should have gone through 20 publicists. I expect that mong Hero Hei to leap on this shit.

Ubisoft needs a complete management overhaul.

Great, they’re gonna serve ads while we take a fucking phone call next

PlayStack and PEGI aren’t getting along on the rating.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/balatro/id6502453075 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstack.balatro.android It appears Google Play is having some kind of payment gateway issue at the moment, so count yr blessins.

Far Cry 3 loses all its steam the moment Vaas is out of the picture.

Which shows exactly why it was good: Michael Mando.

I am curious if the games community has anything positive to say about major publishers at this point.

I’m laughing a lot, is that a positive? These are all self-inflicted wounds because they mistook “shareholders” for the customers.

There’s going to be a new CEO by the end of the FY.

The first few games were actually good, though. AC2 is one of my favorites.

They’re wasting such a badass historical figure in Yasuke on such a color by numbers game.

According to Kotaku, we're well over last years head count in layoffs.
