I added some more words to clarify, I meant the CEOs will claim it is replacing the developers. I’m a dev myself, we know it has its uses and its very obvious limitations.

Yes they just slap Ai in the marketing and scale up the price.

I reckon we will see the biggest transfer of wealth ever during trumps second term. They are all lining up for the big one. I see them trying to undo Labor laws and deregulate across the board.

I suspect they will push RTO even harder and try to drive down wages but specifically to screw over software developers currently on decent wages firing the lower paid ones, with CEOs claiming AI can do it while manufacturing the narrative that its the new normal 🙄.

Thats cool, I imagined as much that it is an evolving sentiment as you play. Thanks for sharing.

What is your process like ? Do you keep notes as you play through ?

Right now I’m in between the following

Shadow tactics blade of the shogun

Control

Half life 2 : episode 2

Dungeons of deadlock

Sonic mania

I need to get back to these because I got bored of them

Fallout 4

God of war

Interesting, thanks for taking the time to provide that extra bit of context as my searches for “French monk incident” were way off 😅🤣.

Not sure if I played anything released this year but I enjoyed the following

Tloz echos of wisdom

Disco Elysium

Half life 2

Streets of rage 4

The last campfire

Super Mario wonder

Vampire survivors

I only recently finished black mesa and then HL 2, and just finished episode 1 last night I will start episode 2 soon. I’m loving it . it is much more enjoyable and engaging than so many games today.

I plan to give the others a go once I finish episode 2.

HL Alyx has me wanting to get a VR kit just to play that. Maybe in a few years.

Throwing my hat in the ring for remnant. 🎲🎲

I bought half life 1 and 2 for a friend. Other than that I’ll wait until the winter one which starts in a few days

Only time I watch something is to see how to get past a part or get a tricky achievement. I’d be curious if its a generational thing. I started with the Commodore64 and would rather play the games.

Half life 2 , black mesa, Tloz links awakening via yuzu, Mario kart 8 via cemu, vampire survivors

Blista compact… At least I think it was in that game

Replaying it now myself. Need to find some more cyclops fragments. Great game overall.

The 90 minutes are per week I take it

This is why above all I prefer roms and emulators. I have already paid my dues years ago on the consoles. I have steam and the deck to support Linux as the rest are anti consumer and dont give a shit about linux.

The problem is worse with consoles as they can have short life-cycles and the discs are tied to the hardware or console specific online service eg eshop.

I would rather a long life cycle. Devs shouldn’t be releasing unoptimized games in the first place. The current deck is powerful enough to run most things and a release every year means worse support and more e-waste in addition to minimal advances in tech to justify the cost. It also fragments the market for supported on deck status.

Its not supposed to replace a top of the line gaming rig.

Ive no interest but hopefully there are torrents soon for those who are interested.

I think that site is an imposter as it has links to keys on the site and is not mentioned anywhere in the github

This is real one https://sudachi.emuplace.app/

Tomb raider, Tmnt Tom clancy’s * Tekken Time crisis

In terms of play time its probably Ridge racer type 4 for psx and the wipeout series followed by Mario kart.

A new die hard trilogy game still based on the original movie trilogy but using a modern engine and graphics

I like both, depends on the mood. I like halo and SciFi fps games but the army propaganda ones such as cod got old pretty fast and are boring. RPGs I love them from chrono trigger to ff 7,8,9 and 10 to elder scrolls and mass effect.

What is your game to de stress ?
I like mini motorways and stardew valley. What about you ?

PS2 yakuza games, do they still hold up ?
I know they are remastered on steam but I was wondering if anyone has played the ps2 ones in the last few years. How do they play ? I was thinking to emulate them on steam deck and I'd be curious to hear your thoughts ?
