Ghostcrawler is heading up a new MMO, probably a couple years out though

Not sure what Jeff Kaplan is up to, probably retired and I wouldn’t blame him

Relative to the cost of everything else / inflation, games actually were pretty cheap. They had been $50/60 for nearly 30 years. Now we’re in the shitty time where it’s $70 for the base game, $30 for day 1 dlc, battlepasses, micro (really macro) transactions, etc.

Which is weird, since there’s a new cod almost every year (or at least it feels like that)

Optimization and graphic tricks

Shorter view distances, lower resolutions for things in the distance, fan base being OK with 30fps for the longest time, etc

I think the biggest problem was last gen consoles, being barely able to run it and having massive problems.

I haven’t seen many complaints from the PC version as far as bugs/glitches went.

The game was missing the life it advertised, but I still had fun playing it

4k 120fps would be great

But the 4090 only averages 75fps at 4k high preset. 7900xtx averages 74fps

You can go skim the Gamers Nexus review of the 7700xt, it has a portion dedicated to Starfield in it.

You need a 6700xt or 4060ti to get 60fps on high at 1080p

The dude digs a hole and then grabs a bigger shovel

Some people just really love a company and will do anything to excuse their shortcomings

Starfield is poorly optimized and that’s really all there is to it. I’m sure in a few weeks modders will (once again) fix some obvious issues. Bethesda has no incentive to do the work themselves when the community will do it for free

Don’t you have to re-certify the app every 2-4 weeks or something when you sideload it?

I’ll admit it’s been a while since I’ve looked, because I just don’t care anymore about what device does what how
